What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are a small team, we wanted the Early Access model not only to form a community that influences and shapes the game. But to get the game in hands of players to ensure we make the best game possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We imagine the game being in Early Access for two to three years, we have a vision for what the full version is and the ending. We will build towards that vision as more content/weeks get added. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be definitively different from the Early Access version. Early Access covers the first two weeks of the study. The full version runs it much longer, with new weeks added in updates, each bringing new daily studies, secret roles, chores and rules, and your saves carry over into each one. Along the way a narrative about the world the game is set in will bleed in, and players will discover it as development goes on. We'll add new mechanics built on how people play in Early Access, more languages (Early Access is English only), block and report for public lobbies, and balance, performance and bug fixes from player feedback. We're excited to see what direction the game naturally goes in, and player feedback will shape a lot of it.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“**Spoiler Warning for players intending to experience the game fully as of now**

The state of the EA features the building block of the game, content wise has the first two weeks of in game content (which gives about 3-4 hours per campaign played with friends) with 14 different studies and daily varied tasks. Each campaign is different depending on difficulty and some variety factors and the amount of players in the game.

Disclaimer: The game is not intended to be played single player, but there is a beta version of it where some studies could be different and players should expect a quieter and harder gameplay.

**Spoiler Warning above**”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We won't raise the price of the game at any point during the Early Access development, even as we add more content or weeks & features to the game. We are planning on official release to increase the price to reflect the amount of content & value it gives to the players in the state it's in upon release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will read every single feedback, forum & discussions on your ideas what this game could become as we develop it. We greatly appreciate feedback our community will bring to make Better Together the best game it can possibly be. ”

About This Game

We have built an entire neighbourhood underground: a social experiment where you and your friends can earn money, do tasks and participate in daily studies together!

We want to watch your group live there for a week. We carefully selected you to participate because we believe there is something in you we can expand upon.

It's important to be able to express yourself, so your faces can change depending on what mood you select in the mood wheel! You have ten emotions to choose from. If you're scared, you can express your fear.

Every day, there are various studies to attend. Orientation, with questions to get to know your group, who you trust and trust least. Some expand on what you can see and train your instinct.

Between studies there are tasks with deadlines. You have to clean your windows. Mow your beautiful lawn. Take out the trash. The money goes to you and a percentage to the group fund, so the more you work, the more everybody wins.

It's incredibly important in stressful studies that you have a break from your duties. The most trusted subject gets to host a game night at their table. We have five games to choose from: Go Fish, Never Have I Ever, Truth or Dare, Gossip Wheel and Texas Hold'em (if you feel lucky with the money you've earned from tasks).

We have CCTV cameras in every room, a file on each of you. We pay attention to what you do, we grade you, and note down your routine. We know who trusts you and who doesn't. Who is stabbing you in the back, and who relies on you.

By the end of the week you will know exactly who your friends are.

  • Online co-op for 2 to 6 players, each of you gets your own house & bed to live and sleep in!

  • Proximity voice chat, faces are fully animated to express emotions, with the mood wheel and your voice driving your mouth.

  • Daily Injections: The Institute offers our "state-of-the-art" clinical formulas to expand what humans are capable of. Expand your vision as you close your eyes. Increase your sprint speed, stamina, and more.

  • Different studies every day: Secret roles, auditory studies and much more!

  • Host game nights with your friends: Invite them to Go Fish, Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever and more!

  • Vote your Group Leader & Electrician: Your leader takes care of your group fund and your electrician has to make sure the generator is fueled to keep the lights on.

  • Tasks with deadlines, a shared group fund and a shop to buy various items to make your stay as fun as possible.

  • A personal diary you can write in, or snoop in others when they are not around.

Respect the Institute's safety measures to ensure your safety in case of any emergency. Lock your doors at night, keep the lights on, and in case anything unusual happens, keep your real friends close...
