False Front!
False Front is a first-person shooter we at Svantech Studios have been working on for a little over 1.5 years, our vision with the project is to make a fps game that goes back to the old days of shooters yet still tries to innovate small but simple things to make the game stand out from the crowd!

Some of the things that we think are different from False Front compared to other fps games are:

Security cameras: The maps are packed with cameras that are shown on the jumbotron screens aswell as on the minimap if switched on. All players will be shown the same camera feed at the same time. This could work as a more complicated uav/radar and will hopefully spice up Search and Destroy games.

Graphics/Enviroment: The colorful graphics are not so common amongst first-person shooters and combined with the sporty theme we think we have created a nice and unique feel to the game.

Powerups: There are various of power-ups located around the maps, these are Sprint, Insta-kill, Laser-aim and Extra-health. We designed these to be as fun for the player as possible while still not be annoying to other players. There are also a normal Health powerup which is the only way to regenerate health, hopefully these powerups will help control the player movement for the better.

Free DLC’s: To compensate for the game not being FREE, we want to release all the future map DLC’s for FREE. This is also to make the DLC’s more fun for the community and not seen as something they have to pay hard earned money for. We instead plan to increase the price on the entire game after DLC releases, this will reward early buyers yet still give us some funding for the DLC’s.

Gameplay!
Above you can see 4 minutes of gameplay footage against bots using some new guns, note that some weapons might seem over powered and we are aware that they might needs some more balancing.

All weapons are done!
All weapons are now finished and in-game, we only need to fix and add some animations for all of the combat related things to be done. Below you can see all the new weapons we added since last devlog.

Tec-9 is the only dual wielding weapon so far in the game.

The Noobtube is never fun to play against, but we’ve tried to add limits to it to make it less annoying.

KSG is the second shotgun and shoots less projectiles to make it more long range.

AUG is the second assault rifle and is one of the two suppressed weapons in-game.

Have a great weekend!

About This Game

False Front is a cartoony first-person shooter set in a world where warfare is not only seen as a sport, but also broadcast on television and seen live by an audience with thousands of people. Being the greatest soldier will not only bring you the victory, but also give you the love of the massive audience.

"Our vision with this game is to capture the old-school first-person shooter feeling. We want to make a game experience that doesn’t feel too complex, a game that is easy to understand but hard to master. We believe that the simple graphic combined with the arcade-style gameplay will bring comfort to the player and just let you have a good time playing. Hopefully the game will be released in 2018, but we like to stick to the saying ”a game is only late for a short while, but is forever bad”. So we will release the game when we think it is good enough.

We will make all future DLCs fully free of charge. Personally, we feel that having a price on DLCs takes away the joy for new content. It no longer feels like a gift, just another thing to pay for. We want our DLCs to feel like a gift. The game will retail for about $9.99, which might increase after more content has been added."

The game will include a Multiplayer mode where you can play together with your friends in gamemodes such as Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy and more. We will also try to add some more fun and different gamemodes such as Infected or Prophunt, but that will be added after release.

There will also be 4 different playable classes on release Sniper, Assault, SMG and Shotgun. Even though these classes will have different abilities we will try to make them balanced and somewhat alike.

Currently there are 4 different classes in the game, Sniper, Assault, Machinegun and Shotgun. We want to keep it simple and therefore are going with those simple bases for the classes. The classes will come with 2 primary and 1 secondary weapon to choose from at launch, more to come after release.
