What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have been working in this quirky, multiplayer-only experience for a long time. Launching in Early Access allows us to create a direct connection with our fanbase, to know their thoughts and opinions about the game and to both improve and expand the solid base of the game during Early Access. We also have our own roadmap with plenty of new content to provide during Early Access and beyond.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our plan is to release Goat of Duty in three-four months after its Early Access launch, depending on player's reception.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our roadmap includes new maps, game modes, goatstumes (skins), weapons and competitive elements, as well as general quality-of-life tweaks to build upon the base of Goat of Duty. We are also open to your suggestions, as your feedback is extremely important for us, and your ideas and participation in the community will influence the future of Goat of Duty.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Goat of Duty’s Early Access version offers a complete multiplayer experience with 4 different game modes, 6 maps, 7 weapons and more than 25 goatstumes to unlock.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to reward our community for supporting Goat of Duty early on. That's why we will provide a lower price during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want our community to be part of the evolution of Goat of Duty. That’s why we have a Discord server to gather all of our fans: we think it is the best place to share thoughts and opinions about Goat of Duty, witness its evolution before anyone else and participate in events only users of our Discord will be able to join. We have already implemented plenty of features thanks to the feedback we received from the players of our closed betas. If you join our community, you will become an integral part of the team!

We are also looking for influencers that want to act as the ambassadors of Goat of Duty in their respective countries. We already have ambassadors in the UK, Canada, USA, Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Brazil, and several LATAM countries, but we are always looking out for passionate content creators that want to cover the game before, during and after its Early Access release, to show the state of the game before anyone else and become the voice of the community in their territory. If you are interested, do not hesitate to write to us at hello@raisergames.com we would love to meet you!”

Goatfix 0.0.1 is LIVE!

Our beautiful, badass goats,

We are so excited to finally play with all of you! These last 48 hours have been a blast and we cannot wait to get into the weekend to keep goating around. So much so, that we have been able to introduce the first ever update of Goat of Duty! Take a look:

Goatfix 0.0.1

Improvements
  • Goats now level up with cooler sounds, special effects and animations.
  • The goat interface during Team Deathmatch... matches, is shown as intended.
  • You can now change goatstumes until the countdown starts, don't forget to dress up before playing! (or not, who cares, you are a goat).
  • Lightning improved in all the maps. Goats are more glorious than ever before.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed crash taking place when inviting friends, you can now invite them to your matches and wreck their goat asses without fear.
  • Fixed bug where the pause menu would stay on screen if launched during the beginning of the match. Now it doesn't happen. Because it is fixed.
  • Health bonuses work as intended, now a 20% health bonus is actually 20% and not 19.99999999999%.
  • Now you cannot bind controls to worthless keys like F4, or assign two actions to the same key.
  • You cannot longer invite your friends to Training Mode, because it is a single goat mode and therefore, you can only play alone.
  • The celebration song at the end of the matches is more awesome now.
  • The player with the best K/D ratio is now highlighted at the end of the match, not like before when random goats were shown. Not anymore, NOOBS.

Additionally, we are aware that the Unlimited FPS option in MAX FPS is not working as intended, and we are working on fixing it for the next update. Meanwhile, you can use the 240 fps option to play Goat of Duty at the highest FPS quality.

Thank you for all the feedback and ideas you've given us on Steam and Discord, especially in the tech_support and suggestions channels. We are fixing many of these bugs thanks to your comments, as well as implementing new concepts into Goat of Duty that you are interested in. We encourage all of you to keep sharing your feedback with us to keep evolving Goat of Duty.

May the goats be ever in your favor!

About This Game

It all started with a freak nuclear accident that gave all goats the necessary intelligence to quickly overthrow their human owners with their powerful rams, high jumps, and ear-blowing bleats. No, wait, that wasn’t it. The goats were intelligent from the very beginning, but since they had no thumbs, they waited patiently for humanity to develop automated robots capable of producing what they needed in order to... No, that doesn’t work either. In an alternate universe, goats are the mightiest warriors of the...

Goat of Duty is a fast-paced and intense multiplayer first-person shooter, and that´s pretty much all you need to know. No nonsense: no need to master a convoluted metagame, learn different characters, combine skills, strategic team play... just devilish combat arenas,
powerful weapons, and fast-paced action. Well, and lots of silly humor, crazy goatstumes (skins), and goat mechanics for you to troll your friends to your heart´s content!

  • Goats. You are an armed goat fighting other goats. It doesn’t get any better than that!
  • Experience intense deathmatch multiplayer battles for 2 to 10 goats
  • Fast-paced gameplay: Goats are fast and nimble, after all; they can climb pretty much anything and jump really high.
  • Old-school, no-nonsense shooter experience: Just you and your skills against your enemies!
  • Wear crazy goatstumes, dance like a goat, and troll your buddies when you bleat them in combat!
  • Four multiplayer modes: Classic free-for-all, Gun Deathmatch, Herd Wars (or team deathmatch for humans) and an original, new mode: the crazy Fus Ro Arena
  • Explore a variety of crazy maps with different playstyles: Feel right at home on a futuristic farm, explore mountains in distant planets, survive the desert of the lambs, experience hair-rising fear at the horror well, wander adrift the space station, or encounter mind-boggling randomness at the medieval village -- among others!
