About This Game

Keep looking up.

Keep Looking Up is a calm, contemplative game of exploration in an endless procedural galaxy that is the same for everyone. You go further than anyone has gone, you document what you find, and what you transmit enters the Galactic Archive with your name on it.

Go further

The map reveals itself by the light of the stars. Aim the telescope, read the planets with scans and probes, and jump. Every system is generated down to its real orbits: rocky worlds and gas giants, asteroid belts, nebulae, black holes and rogue planets. Distance is the reward. The frontier of today is the neighbourhood of tomorrow.

Study what lives there

Your ship carries real laboratories. Catch what crawls, swims and grows on the worlds you visit and take it apart, carefully:

  • The bench and the microscope: look at every part of a creature, from its whole body to its cells, past ×400.

  • The autopsy tray: open it with scalpel, pins and forceps, lay its organs on the wax and find out how it works inside.

  • The DNA lab: sequence its genome, pair its chromosomes, switch genes off and see what changes.

  • The terrarium and the tanks: keep it alive under its own world's sky, watch it feed, court, breed and grow.

  • The geology lab: saw a stone, grind a thin section, run the analysers and read a world's history from its rocks.

  • The greenhouse: grow alien plants under the light of their own star, from seed to seed.

Every creature, plant and stone is generated with a real anatomy of its own. Nothing is drawn twice. Every finding fills its file, and the LAB-PC, your ship's patient assistant, remembers what you learn.

Name it, share it

A discovery only exists for the world when it reaches the network. Deliver a species to the Great Library and, if you are the first, it keeps your name and your holotype forever. Others can add specimens, confirm or refute your ideas, and leave a note on your card. Sell what you catch to players who like finding more than studying, or take on their commissions.

Take your time

No timers, no raids, no reason to log in at a fixed hour. Space is quiet and a little dangerous, and the ship waits for you where you left it.
