About This Game

10 PM, Megacorp Tower. Your team has until 6 AM to finish its tasks.

The floors are not empty.

You have a flashlight, a quota and eight hours. On paper, it is a night of work like any other.

• Reboot the servers
  
• Flip the breaker back on when the power goes out

The breaker is in the basement. Someone has to go down there. Management does not say who.

The company memo gives you the rules to survive the night. In a team, only one of you gets it and reads it to the others, out loud.

“When you hear a chair rolling, do not turn round.”

“When you hear your name over the speakers, answer ‘yes boss’ out loud.”

That “yes boss”: the game really listens for it in your microphone.

The team believes whoever reads. Whoever reads believes Management.

But some rules are false, and following them can cost you. Something on the memo may give them away, if you notice it in time.

They are called the Colleagues, and each one has its rule.

You hear them before you see them. A chair rolling, somewhere on this floor. Your name over the speakers.

You have no weapon. Apply the right rule, or run.

Play solo, or up to 4 with proximity voice chat. Walls muffle your voice. Even when you call for help.

Break a Colleague’s rule and you will pay: moved by force, locked in or marked absent.

An absent employee can no longer move. All they can do is watch the cameras, and their voice only comes through the floor’s speakers, distorted.

So when a voice calls you over the speakers, it is not always Management.

To bring an absent employee back, a teammate has to reinstate them at the coffee machine. If the whole team is caught, or if you are alone, the night is lost.

Every night, a new layout, new false rules, one floor closer to the CEO’s office. Three warnings and you are laid off.
