About This Game

"Play the game. Keep the beasts at bay. For a hundred generations we have performed this rite, and for a hundred generations the seal has held."

A tomb lies at the heart of a sealed Gothic sanctuary, and you have been left to guard it. The rite that keeps it shut is a game played at the table beside it: a tactics battle on a hex board, fought with hand-drawn critters that each move and strike in their own way.

  • Read the board. Position wins fights, not numbers. Learn each critter's reach before you place it.

  • Shape your deck. Draft, copy and imbue your critters across three acts, each ending in a boss.

  • Leave your seat. Walk the sanctuary between moves and solve the chapel puzzles to unlock new tokens.
