Learn, play and improve

Salva's Chess was born from the wish to play with my loved ones no matter where we are. You can enjoy it on the couch with a controller, on your computer with mouse and keyboard, or from any browser.

  • Built for an age of sky-high RAM and GPU prices: under 10 MB, and it runs even on integrated graphics.
  • Six difficulty levels, from Beginner to Grandmaster.
  • Full FIDE rules, clocks, PGN and FEN.
  • Earn each title fairly: no hints, no takebacks, on the clock.
  • Post-game review that rates every move, computes your accuracy and explains in plain words what happened and what was better.
  • Analysis board with a position editor, multiple engine lines and a variation tree.
  • Tactical puzzles in four modes and a 20-lesson interactive tutorial.
  • Statistics, an estimated Elo rating and openings identified by name.
  • Crisp 2D board at any resolution or a 3D board with a free camera.
  • Bring your own 3D (.glb, .gltf, .obj) and 2D pieces and boards.
  • Online games against friends or opponents, with no free chat.
  • Web version included: sign in with your Steam account from the website to play from any browser with your progress synced.
  • Seven languages: Spanish, English, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German and Italian.
