By day, tend your flock on a bright little farm. By night, guard the gate while three strangers beg to come in. Some are sheep running for their lives. Some are wolves in wool. Ask the right questions, open the gate or don't, and trust no fleece. Watch your flock and maybe save the world.

About This Game

By day, you keep the flock. By night, you keep the gate.

Your little farm sits at the end of a dark lane, and every night something knocks. A sheep, it says, running from a wolf. Let me in, quick. It might be telling the truth. It might be the wolf.

Spend your days in the pen getting to know your flock. Spend your nights at the gate with a lantern, deciding who gets in. Let a wolf in and the morning count comes up short.

Three knocks a night.

Pick from more than twenty questions, from "Say 'baa'" to "Show me your feet" to "What do you think of the moon?" You only get three per visitor, so make them count.

Look closer. Listen harder.

Raise your lantern and look for pointy ears, a long snout or a zip down the back. Listen for footsteps that pad instead of trot, or a bleat with a growl in it. By day, watch for the ones who never graze and keep staring at the others. And shear one sheep a day, because wool never lies.

Happy sheep talk.

Every animal has a heart meter. Kindness fills it, while thirst, grief and a cold shearing drain it. Happy sheep gossip more, and they grow better wool.

Something always goes wrong.

Every few days a calamity hits: a thunderstorm, a twister, a wildfire, an earthquake or a wolf raid. You'll get a warning and a way to fight back. Whether you listen is up to you.

Thirty nights.

That's a month at the gate, with a strange visitor full of stories and a very big wolf who knows the rules better than you do. Every fifth night ends in something big, and the month can end more than one way. Some of those endings are not what you'd expect from a sheep game.

Try it free.

The demo is the first five nights, and your save carries straight into the full game.

Trust no fleece.
