About This Game

Blend in. Steal the art. Catch your friends in the act.

The museum is full of visitors, and some of them are thieves. You're one of them.

Snapped In The Act! is a multiplayer stealth party game for 2–10 players. Hide among the tourists, pocket priceless exhibits and keep an eye on everyone around you. Your rivals look like ordinary visitors—and they carry cameras too. One photo taken at the wrong moment can end your round.

Look innocent. Make your move.

Wander through the Glass Dome Museum alongside its visitors. Same faces, same bright clothes, same tourist cameras. Watch who stops where, spot an unguarded exhibit and decide whether the room is distracted enough to risk it.

The only thing that gives a thief away is what they do.

Five seconds under the glass

Lift the glass, grab the exhibit and slip it into your bag. A theft starts at five seconds—and you're exposed for every one of them. Cancel midway and your progress resets.

Keep stealing and you'll get faster. Keep getting greedy and someone might be watching.

Say cheese

Catch a rival in the middle of a theft and snap the evidence. They're out of the round, and their loot is confiscated.

A full bag isn't evidence. The act is. Photographing someone who is simply walking past won't eliminate them. Neither will snapping an innocent visitor or an empty corner. A missed shot still costs you the cooldown, so make it count.

Walls, bodies and smoke can block your view. One photo. One thief.

Caught on camera. Still watching.

Get snapped mid-theft and the evidence photo tells the story. Your loot is confiscated, but you can watch the remaining players finish the round.

Hold Tab to check who's still in. In Solo and Duo, compare the remaining loot. In Thief / Photographer, follow the thieves' shared goal while individual hauls stay hidden on the scoreboard.

When the round ends, see how many exhibits you stole, how much loot was confiscated, and who caught whom. One greedy move can turn a great haul into an embarrassing photo.

Cause a distraction. Make your escape.

Drop smoke to break the line of sight, or throw a noise decoy that sounds like a real theft. Draw attention somewhere else, take your chance and disappear into the crowd.

But the museum won't stay open forever. Wings close as the round goes on, forcing everyone into a smaller space. Reach the Dome Hall for the final exhibits—with fewer visitors left to hide behind.

Eighty reasons to get caught

Explore a museum filled with 50 display cases and 30 stealable paintings, spread across the Dome Hall and four themed wings.

Pocket a famous exhibit or pull a painting from its frame and roll it up. Every piece is worth one point. Even the Mona Lisa.

Three ways to play

  • Solo — every thief for themselves. A free-for-all for 2–10 players. Steal, watch your rivals and stay in the round.
  • Duo — partners in crime. Play in teams of two, with up to five teams. Get caught and your partner can still carry on—but your loot is confiscated and does not pass to them.
  • Thief / Photographer — hidden hunters. For 5–10 players. Secret photographers hunt a team of thieves racing to steal 50 pieces together. Caught thieves' contributions stay in the team's total. The photographers win by catching every thief or keeping the total below 50 until time runs out. Thieves carry cameras as cover; only the photographers' shots can eliminate them.

Rounds last seven minutes, with no respawns. In Solo and Duo, the last thief or team standing wins. If time runs out first, the surviving player or team with the most loot wins.

The evidence survives the round

Meet up in the ticket hall between matches. Chat with the group, coordinate with your Duo partner or react with an emoji. The visitors use emojis too, so that alone won't reveal who's playing.

Compare the results, revisit the evidence photos and settle the arguments before the next round.

Multiplayer only: 2–10 players. Duo requires at least 4 players; Thief / Photographer requires at least 5. A short solo tutorial teaches the basics. Keyboard and mouse. Available in 15 languages.
