About This Game

Million Tiles is a cozy first-person restoration game set in a voxel palace. Last night's quake shook 6,098 glazed tiles off its floors and walls. Pick them up one at a time and set each one on the chalked spot with the same pattern, until every room is whole again.

Every tile has a home

Twenty-one Iznik-style patterns, from cobalt waves and tulips to gilded stars. Find a loose tile, read its pattern, find its spot. Floors, low walls, high friezes and a towering mihrab niche, all built at 16 voxels to the metre.

Earn coins, buy better tools

Every tile you set pays coins, and quick runs pay a combo bonus. Spend them at the Tiler's Bench:

  • Satchel: carry up to 45 tiles at once

  • Glaze Lantern: open spots for the tiles you carry glow

  • Scaffold Lift: rise up to the friezes and high bands

  • Lodestone: pull matching loose tiles straight into your satchel

  • Mortar Charm: send the tiles you carry to their spots nearby

  • Swift Boots and Kiln Bellows

Search the rubble

Crates and chests hide 269 tiles. Break them open for coins. The chests hold all 24 gilded tiles.

Fire the cracked ones

Hundreds of tiles came down cracked. They won't set until you carry them to the kiln in the Courtyard and fire them.

Open the palace room by room

Five rooms: the Great Hall, the Courtyard, the Bath House, the Library and the Mihrab Chamber. Each door opens once you restore enough of the room before it. Finish a room and it comes back to life: the lamps burn brighter, water rises in the fountain, steam curls up into the dome.

Also

  • Orders: small jobs for bonus coins, like "Set 16 Star tiles" or "Fire 6 cracked tiles in the kiln"

  • No fail states. Your progress saves as you play

  • Visual settings for exposure, ambient occlusion, bloom, depth of field and a tilt-shift diorama mode
