What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is already in a fully playable state, but our vision is to create a much larger and more developed world. We plan to add new biomes, animals, resources, items, mechanics, and additional content.

Early Access will allow us to develop the game together with the community, gather player feedback, and better prioritize future updates. Creating new locations, systems, and content also requires significant time and resources, so revenue from Early Access will help support the continued development of the project.

We want to update the game regularly and gradually expand it toward our full vision.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
We currently expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months. This timeframe may change depending on community feedback, the scope of planned features, and the course of development. We do not want to rush the full release at the expense of quality or content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to offer significantly more content and a more developed world.

During Early Access, we would like to gradually add new biomes, animals, resources, items, and additional gameplay elements. We also plan to expand existing systems and improve balance, optimization, and the overall quality of the game based on community feedback.

Our goal is for the full version to be a larger, more varied, and more polished experience than the current Early Access version. The exact scope of future content may change as the project develops and based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently fully playable and offers several game modes:

Survival

Survival PvP

Capture the Flag

Team Deathmatch

The core gameplay mechanics and systems are already available. During Early Access, we plan to continue developing existing systems, improve balance and optimization, and gradually add new content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price of the game as new content and features are added and the project continues to develop. The price of the full version may be higher than the price during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively collect player feedback throughout the Early Access period. Suggestions, bug reports, and feedback regarding balance and gameplay will help us determine the priorities for future updates.

We also want to observe which game modes and mechanics are used most often so that we can better adapt the future development of the game to the needs of the community.

Player feedback will be an important part of the development process, although the final direction of the game may also depend on technical possibilities and the overall vision of the project.”

About This Game

SURVIVE. BUILD. DESTROY.

Shatterbit is a fast-paced 2D shooter built around full environmental destruction, physics and simulation. Fight zombies, other players and dangerous creatures, gather resources, build fortified bases and reshape the world pixel by pixel.

PLAY TOGETHER OR AGAINST EACH OTHER

Team up with friends and survive together, or turn your weapons on each other and prove who is the best.

Choose from several game modes:
  • Survival – work together and survive increasingly dangerous waves of enemies.
  • PvP – fight other players in a fully destructible environment.
  • Team Deathmatch – join a team and battle for domination.
  • Capture the Flag – defend your flag while trying to steal the enemy team's flag.
Destruction is part of every battle. Blow through cover, tunnel beneath defenses or create a completely new route to your objective.

DESTROY EVERYTHING

Almost every pixel of the world can be destroyed. Break walls, demolish structures, dig through terrain and change the battlefield while you fight.

Explosions, weapons and physics can open new paths, collapse defenses and transform entire areas. The environment is not just a background – it reacts to what you do.

You do not have to look for an entrance. Make one.

BUILD YOUR BASE

Turn collected materials into a base capable of surviving the next attack. Choose the right resources and combine different defenses to create your own fortress.

Build walls, barricades, towers, automated turrets, traps, trenches and other defensive structures. Dig into the ground, build upward or reshape the terrain around your base to slow down enemies.

Different resources offer different possibilities, so smart construction can be just as important as accurate shooting.

MINE, TRADE AND PROGRESS

Explore the world and search for valuable resources. Mine materials, improve your equipment, craft useful items and expand your production.

Use what you collect to upgrade weapons, strengthen your defenses, build new structures and trade. The stronger your economy and equipment become, the better prepared you are for the threats ahead.

A SIMULATED 2D WORLD

Shatterbit's world is filled with more than players and zombies. Animals, insects and plants make the environment feel alive, while simulation systems make it react dynamically to destruction.

Liquids can move through damaged terrain, fill cavities and follow newly created paths. Destroy a barrier, dig a tunnel or change the shape of the land and watch the consequences spread through the world.

SURVIVE THE ZOMBIE HORDES

When the horde arrives, everything you built is put to the test. Use firearms, turrets, traps, fortifications and the terrain itself to keep the infected away from your base.

Every destroyed wall can create a new path for the enemy. Every well-placed defense can buy you the seconds you need to survive.

Shoot. Dig. Build. Destroy. Survive.
