What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to grow Cozy Restoration Workshop with feedback from the people playing it. Early Access lets us learn which restoration processes players enjoy, where the tools and instructions could feel better, and which objects they would like to restore next as we work on more items.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last approximately three months. This is an estimate and may change as development progresses and we respond to player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the collection with more items to restore before the full release. We also plan to refine the restoration interactions, instructions and overall experience based on feedback from Early Access players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version contains 13 playable restoration jobs, each with its own object, sequence of tasks and final interaction. Take objects apart, clean and repair their parts, reassemble them and test the results. Completed jobs unlock the next object and add a restored piece to your collection, with before-and-after photos and replay access. Selected jobs include colour choices. The game has English interface text, mouse and keyboard controls, local progress saving, and graphics and audio settings. Completed jobs and settings are saved; leaving an unfinished job restarts that job from the beginning next time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access, to reflect the additional restoration items and improvements planned for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can send feedback, bug reports and suggestions for future restoration items through our support email. We plan to use this feedback to help choose new items and improve the tools, instructions and pacing of the restoration jobs.”

About This Game

Cozy Restoration Workshop in gold lettering above a restored pocket watch, lighter, lantern and clock.

Cozy Restoration Workshop is a single-player restoration game about the pleasure of making things work again. Bring worn keepsakes, vintage gadgets and unusual finds back to life, one piece at a time.

Rain taps against the window. The workbench lamp is on. An old object is waiting for another chance.

Do the work with your own hands

Turn screws, lift away parts and uncover what is hiding beneath the dirt. Scrub, sand, blast and polish the surfaces yourself, turning each piece to reach the other side. Follow the job's instructions from the first inspection to the final reassembly.

Every object has its own process

Restore 13 distinct objects, from Grandpa's lighter and a toy road roller to a pocket watch, a wind-up tin hen and a mysterious energy-sword hilt. Repair a lantern's broken lens, turn a new wooden handle on the lathe, solder a clock's speaker wire and free a seized fan motor. Choose fresh paint colours on selected jobs.

See it work again

The reward is more than a clean surface. Strike the lighter, roll the road roller, play with the restored controller, wind the watch and switch on the fan. Each restoration ends with a chance to enjoy what you have brought back to life.

Keep the memories

Compare before-and-after photos, then visit your collection to admire restored pieces on their plinths. Read their stories, revisit your chosen finishes and replay a favourite job.

Settle into the workshop

Warm light, rain, gentle music and the sounds of your tools accompany the work. Adjust the music, effects and ambience separately, pause when you need a break, and tune the graphics and camera sway to suit you.
