Why Early Access?

“Eggest is a multiplayer game where you hunt another player while someone else is hunting you. We believe that feedback from real players with different play styles is essential to developing its mix of pursuit, information sharing, cooperation, and betrayal.

Early Access gives us an opportunity to gather feedback on how clearly the rules are communicated, how matches unfold, and how the game is balanced. We want that feedback to help shape the game's content and systems.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently anticipate approximately one year in Early Access. This is an estimate rather than a confirmed full release schedule, and it may change depending on development progress and player feedback. We plan to share development progress and significant changes through Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal for the full version is to create more varied situations and strategic choices around Eggest's pursuit and deception gameplay. We are planning to expand mission and item variety and their uses, develop maps and interactive elements further, and broaden character customization options.

We also intend to improve player guidance and the UI, refine match balance, and work on network stability and performance based on player feedback. The scope and priorities of these plans may change during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the core online multiplayer match experience. Each player pursues an assigned target while avoiding their own hunter. Eliminating a target passes that player's target to you, continuing the chain until one player remains.

The game includes missions, drivable vehicles, in-game phone calls for sharing information or misleading others, usable items, and character customization. Content variety, player guidance, balance, and optimization are still being refined, and players may encounter bugs or network issues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep the same price throughout Early Access and after the full release. If a pricing change becomes necessary, we will announce it in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather bug reports, balance feedback, and content suggestions through the Steam Community and our official Discord server. We are particularly interested in rules that players find difficult to understand, what makes chasing and escaping enjoyable or frustrating, and how players use missions and items during matches.

We intend to use this feedback to help prioritize improvements alongside issue severity and development resources. We also plan to explain significant changes and the reasons behind them in update announcements.”
