What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Deadshare is a social game: it lives or dies on how six strangers talk, bluff and betray each other at the table. Rules that look perfect on paper break the moment real people sit down, and the only way to find that out is to let them play. Early Access lets us tune the round structure, the timing, the balance between attacking and holding, and the behaviour of SIXFOLD itself with real matches and real feedback, while we keep building the content around it. We are a small independent studio, and we would rather grow the show with the people who play it than guess in a room by ourselves.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access for 8/12 months. The length depends on the feedback we receive and on how quickly we can add the planned content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will add more content, such as maps, mascots and consumables and further polish, balancing and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Up to six players, multiple maps. The SIXFOLD game show, with its secret picks and its wheel. A shared prize pot. A marketplace for consumables, clothing and items. Customize your character, level up, and play as a contestant or a bettor.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will increase”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will read every piece of feedback. We plan to share updates through Steam announcements and our official website/Discord, and to adjust the game based on what players tell us”

About This Game

Six strangers. Six electric chairs. One live TV show.

Deadshare is a six-player online social deduction game set inside SIXFOLD, a cheerful and deeply wrong game show broadcast from several top-secret rooms, the first of which is a flooded underground chamber beneath Capital City. Each contestant is strapped into an electric chair. The whole thing goes out live on the big screen above their heads.

Talk, bluff, make deals, break them. Survive together and you split the prize pool. Make it out alone and it is all yours.

Every round, each contestant secretly makes one choice on the console in front of them. All choices land at the same moment. Being fast never saves you.

  • Attack: Pick a seat. If nobody stops you, they are out, and the house pays you for the trouble.

  • Counter: Name the seat you think is coming for you. Guess right and they are out while you walk away clean. Guess wrong and you are the one who goes.

  • Hold: Stay out of it. Your hands stay clean. It will not protect you, but nobody can call you a liar.

No pick, no mercy. If the clock runs out before you confirm, the chair makes the choice for you.

The TV only shows who is out. It never shows who did it. Who attacked, who countered, who sat on their hands: all of it stays sealed until you are out, or until the show ends. Until then, the only evidence is what the other five tell you, and what you choose to believe.

Peace is a valid strategy. So is betrayal.

Every seat brings a mascot. Win and it cheers. Lose and it gets the last word, on live TV, in front of everyone. Nineteen original mascots, each with its own voice and its own opinion of you, hosted by Quackers, who has six seats and one smile. His.

Six mascots are free for everyone. The rest you unlock with pot you earn at the table, never with real money. In a match no two seats share a mascot: the fastest to pick and confirm gets it.

Pot is the money of the show. You only get it by playing.

  • Survive. Everyone still breathing at the end splits the prize pool. Walk out alone and it is all yours.

  • Take someone out. The house pays a bounty for every contestant you remove.

  • Level up. Every level pays out, and the higher you climb, the more it pays.

  • Die. Every pot you earned during that show drops into the prize pool, for the people who outlived you.

Nobody at the table can see your wallet. They see your name and your mascot, and that is all. Levels, ranks and honours are there for the people who keep coming back.

Detailed rooms, MetaHuman faces, and light that hides more than it shows. The only cartoon is on the TV. Pick a face and change skin, hair, eyes and more: all of it is free. Built in Unreal Engine 5. Play in English, Italiano, Français, Español or Deutsch.

Everybody picks. Nobody tells.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Deadshare is made by a small independent team. We use generative AI tools as an assistant to our human artists, writers and developers: to explore ideas, prepare references and drafts, and speed up some of the repetitive steps of our workflows, so that a studio of our size can focus its time on what matters. Everything that ends up in the game is directed, reviewed and finished by people. The game does not generate content with AI while you play.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Deadshare is a fictional game show in which six contestants are strapped to electric chairs and eliminated on live television. The game contains frequent, realistic violence and gore: electrocution, shooting, dismemberment and large amounts of blood, shown in full on screen. Deaths are treated with dark humour, and cartoon mascots mock eliminated players in front of everyone. The game is online only and includes unmoderated voice chat with other players, who may use offensive language. It also features betting with an in-game currency that cannot be bought with real money or cashed out. There is no sexual content, nudity, drug use or depiction of self-harm.
