About This Game

A fantasy duel of minds

Magic Pieces brings fantasy factions and powerful abilities to the chessboard. Face your opponent in tactical online duels, master pieces with their own movement patterns and effects, and work toward one familiar goal: checkmate the enemy king.

Every turn is a choice

Make a normal move or spend mana on a special move. You cannot do both in the same turn. Plan your position, watch your opponent's available effects and decide when an ability is worth the resources. A clever transport, a ranged strike or a returning piece can change your next move entirely.

Choose your faction

  • Raiders: Seize the initiative with mobility, transport and ranged attacks. Control the board through positioning and unexpected angles.
  • Hollow: Build pressure through sacrifice and returning units. Fallen pieces can become your next threat.
  • Classic: Start with the familiar standard chess set and its traditional movement patterns.

Explore each piece's movement and abilities in the in-game Codex, build your collection and take your tactics into online matches. The board is familiar; the possibilities depend on the pieces you bring and the choices you make.
