What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe that involving players in the development process is one of the best ways to make Snoutbreak an even better game.
Early Access gives us the opportunity to share the game with the community, gather valuable feedback, and continue refining the experience based on how players actually play.
We want to work alongside our community to improve gameplay, balance mechanics, identify areas that need attention, and help shape the future of Snoutbreak.
Our goal is to create a fun, engaging, and polished experience, and we believe that player feedback will play an important role in achieving that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate that Snoutbreak will remain in Early Access for approximately 3 to 6 months.
However, this timeframe may change depending on development progress and community feedback. Our priority is to ensure that the full version delivers the best possible experience for our players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Snoutbreak focuses on its core gameplay experience: escaping the dungeon.
For the full release, we plan to expand the experience by introducing additional game modes within the dungeon, offering players new challenges and different ways to enjoy the game.
Some of the modes we're considering include capturing enemies, collecting all the gold scattered throughout the dungeon, or escaping as quickly as possible.
Community feedback will play an important role in helping us decide which modes to develop and how to shape them.
Our goal is to make Snoutbreak a more varied and replayable experience while keeping the core gameplay that makes it fun.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Snoutbreak already includes the complete core game mode: Escape the Dungeon.
In this mode, players must find their way out of the dungeon using only the resources they can carry, with a limit of one item in each hand.
This core game mode is fully playable, offering the main gameplay experience while we work on expanding the game with additional modes and challenges.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to increase the price of Snoutbreak when it leaves Early Access, as we intend to introduce additional features, content, and improvements throughout development.
The final price will reflect the expanded experience offered by the full version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want our community to be an active part of Snoutbreak's development.
We'll be using our official Discord server and the Steam Community forums to stay in touch with players, gather feedback, listen to suggestions, and discuss potential improvements.
Player feedback will help us identify areas that need refinement, improve gameplay balance, and prioritise future updates.
We'll also share development updates to keep the community informed about our progress.
Our goal is to build an open and collaborative relationship with our players, making Snoutbreak a better experience together.”

About This Game

A dungeon. Two hands. And a wolf behind you.

Head in with your friends, grab the gold and find a way out. Choose what you carry carefully: you might need a free hand for a friend's head. They'll still be telling you which way to go.

Rather be the wolf? In Great Wolf mode, you hunt your friends.

Your plan is to get rich. The wolf's plan is dinner.

You're a bunch of little pigs with far too much ambition to be heading into a dungeon with this lot. There's gold, traps and fairy-tale creatures you'd rather not recognise.

Go in alone or with friends, find your way and get as much loot out as you can. Company means more hands to help. And more pigs determined to leave richer than you.

You're dead. Your head keeps talking.

Your friend carries you in one hand. You're still giving directions.

A living teammate can pick up your head and carry you to the exit to save your gold. With a healing gun, they can bring you back into the game, too.

Try not to boss them around too much. They can always put you down.

Be nice: they're carrying someone who could still finish ahead of them.

Your friend is the Great Wolf

In Great Wolf mode, you can be the one hunting your friends.

As the wolf, listen for voices, follow the noise and find a way to cut them off. As a pig, try not to let him hear you arguing with whoever has the map.

Weapons and traps can slow him down and buy you time to escape. Killing him isn't part of the plan.

Help your friends. Compete for the gold.

Your friend has the torch. You've spotted coins further down the hall. You tell them to wait. You'll only be a moment.

Share light, tools and rescues, but remember: gold is personal. Among those who make it out, whoever brings back the most loot tops the ranking.

You can leave the group to look for more. Then you'll have to find your way back.

Two hands. Choose what to carry.

You've got a sword and a torch. Your friend needs you to pick up their head. Something has to stay on the floor.

One item per hand, with no spare inventory. Share out the gear, check the map and leave spray-painted marks to find your way past traps and creatures.

Go in alone and you'll have to manage with what you can carry. And get yourself out.

One more room, then we go

Each expedition generates a new maze with a random layout. Escaping once doesn't mean you'll know the way back: explore, get your bearings and decide how much to risk for the gold still inside.

With your pockets full, heading back sounds sensible. Until you see what's in the next room.

Jump into Quick Match, work through missions in Progression or face off in Great Wolf.

  • Quick Match and Progression: 1–6 players.
  • Great Wolf: 3–6 players; one wolf against 2–5 pigs.
  • Mission progress is saved in Progression. Gold starts at zero on every expedition.
