What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Eclipse Conquest is already fully playable and offers several game modes, a complete campaign, as well as collection, progression, and deck-building systems.

Early Access allows us to open the game to the community while continuing testing, balancing, and refinement.

In a strategic card game, the balance between cards, factions, and different strategies is especially important. Matches played by the community will help us identify overly powerful combinations, underused cards, usability issues, and other areas that can still be improved.

We also want to use this period to experiment with new content and new game modes together with the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Eclipse Conquest to remain in Early Access for several months.

This period may evolve depending on community feedback, the balancing adjustments required, and the overall level of stability and polish of the game.

Our priority is to reach a sufficiently stable, balanced, and polished version before leaving Early Access rather than committing to a fixed release date too early.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core of Eclipse Conquest and its main game modes are already available.

During Early Access, we plan to continue improving and expanding the existing experience.

We currently plan to work on:

balancing cards, decks, and the different factions;
continuously improving the existing game modes;
new game modes currently in development;
improvements to the user interface and overall quality of life;
further development of progression and reward systems;
new cards and additional deck-building possibilities;
improved visual effects, animations, and audio feedback;
performance and stability improvements;
new content intended to regularly refresh the gameplay experience.

The campaign is already available and complete in its initial version. It is currently undergoing testing, and we plan to expand and update it from time to time after release in order to further develop the world of Eclipse Conquest and keep the game evolving over time.

Our priorities may change depending on community feedback and how players interact with the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Eclipse Conquest already includes its core gameplay systems as well as several playable modes across solo, online, and local play.

The current version includes:

a complete solo campaign, currently undergoing testing;
online Versus matches with several formats:
Quick Match;
Draft;
Ranked Matches;
a local mode against AI;
a local two-player mode on the same computer and screen.

Players can also collect cards, build their own decks, and discover several factions, each with its own identity, cards, and gameplay mechanics.

The main progression, collection, reward, and interface systems are already implemented.

However, the Early Access version is still undergoing testing and improvements. Bugs, balancing issues, and certain interface problems may still be present.

We are also working on new game modes and additional content that we plan to introduce progressively as the game evolves.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Eclipse Conquest is free to play, and we currently plan for it to remain free to play after the Early Access period.

Optional purchases are available through the in-game store.

These purchases are not required to download and access the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will play an important role throughout the Early Access period.

We will particularly pay attention to feedback regarding:

card and faction balancing;
the different game modes;
the campaign;
usability and the user interface;
performance and stability;
bugs encountered by players;
new content and features.

We also plan to use gameplay statistics to help identify cards, combinations, and strategies that may require adjustments.

Players will be able to share their feedback through the Steam forums as well as our Discord server.

Major changes to the game will be accompanied by patch notes so the community can follow updates, fixes, balance changes, and new content.

We want Eclipse Conquest to evolve over time by combining our vision for the game with the feedback and experiences of its community.”
