Catch The Black Ace is a three-player card game of hidden identities and tactical play. Take a seat in the tavern with two fellow players. One holds the Ace of Spades and wants to empty their hand first. The others are watching every move, trying to work out who to stop.

The player holding the Ace of Spades plays alone, aiming to empty their hand first. The other two are the Catchers: they must work out who is on their side and stop the Black Ace from escaping.

Once an Ace is played, its suit is hidden. Count the Aces each player has played, and watch when they beat a hand or let it pass. An ordinary-looking move might give away their intentions.

Think twice before playing your 4s

An opponent's bomb does not always need a bigger answer. Play a pair of 4s to capture a three-of-a-kind bomb, taking all three cards from the table into your own hand.

You gain powerful cards, but also more cards to get rid of. Rebuild your attack now, or save your 4s for a better opportunity? There is more to a good hand than playing it out.

This round's result shapes the next

The contest carries on after the score is settled. Before the next round, tribute and return tribute turn the previous result into new decisions. In a normal tribute exchange, the losing side gives its highest eligible cards, and the winning side chooses the same number of cards to return.

Which strong cards should you keep, and which cards should you return? Preserve a useful combination, or reshape your plan? Aces cannot be given or returned as tribute, so exchanging cards never transfers the Black Ace identity. With Double-Joker Reversal enabled, meeting its conditions can even reverse the tribute direction.

Choose your animal character and join the table in first person. Play with friends through Steam, use voice chat and quick voice lines, and enjoy the reads, reactions, and reversals of a shared card table.

New to the game? The rulebook and guided tutorial games introduce identities, card combinations, bomb capture, and tribute and return tribute. Practice against AI in the tutorial before taking on friends.

More ways to play are planned

The current version focuses on three-player Catch The Black Ace. Four-player Catch The Black Ace and another game mode are planned for future updates. These modes are not yet available; details and release timing will be announced later.
