About This Game

Pactmage: Chess Roster is a turn-based tactics game where every unit has HP, a role, a skill, and a passive. Element matchups, positioning, target choice, and timing all shape the outcome.

• Seven elements, one chart. Water, Fire, Grass, Thunder, Ice, Wind, Earth. 2× one way, 0.5× the other.

• Every unit is more than a chess piece. Five roles — Fighter, Shooter, Mage, Tank, Support — each with its own skill and passive.

• Win, and they join you. Defeat a unit in Adventure and form a Pact to recruit it permanently.

• Three ways to fight. A 5-chapter Adventure campaign, local PvP on one machine, and Steam online PvP with casual and ranked queues plus friend room codes.

• 60+ units. Zero paywall. No gacha, no paid units — every unit unlocks by playing.

• Playable in English, 简体中文, 日本語, 繁體中文.

Generative AI was used for a large portion of the game's visual assets, including character artwork, backgrounds, icons, and some promotional materials.

These assets were not used directly without review. Most of them went through repeated generation, selection, editing, and adjustment to keep the characters and overall art style consistent. A significant amount of time was also spent integrating the assets into the game and correcting issues where necessary.

The game design, gameplay systems, balancing, level design, UI design, programming, and overall direction were done by me.

The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
