About This Game

Set in the medieval-like world of Elarion, Lanterbound is a low-magic fantasy RPG that will let you choose your own path. Will you follow the hero's journey with a quest line that will lead you to saving the world? Or will you choose the life of a simple farmer overcoming the struggles of a poor harvest.

Background:

It's been more than a century since the gods mysteriously fell silent. Their absence did not destroy civilization overnight. Instead, the world has suffered a long decline as kingdoms fracture, old roads and temples crumble, and a creeping corruption only known as The Blight spreads into forgotten places.

Magic still exists but it is slowly dying. Spells are less reliable, divine power is almost unheard of, and those with magical gifts often find that they weaken with use. Powerful mages can sometime still arise but the greater the power they wield, the faster that power fades. "The flame that burns the brightest burns half as long." 

Ancient relics sometimes retain fragments of impossible strength while old faiths survive mostly through ritual, memory, and stubborn devotion. Elarion is a world that has learned to live without miracles. Most believe the gods to be dead... but some say that they may not be truly gone after all.

Open World:- Rugged northern terrain featuring mountains, open plains, and hamlets.

Non-linear Story:- You are a nobody; stay that way or forge your own destiny. Not all choices will lead to victory. Not all aspiring heroes succeed.

Character Development:- Improve skills by doing, not points. Gain abilities and create a unique person.

Multiplayer:- Some choices affect the world at large. Will you join your friends in a guild to advance common goals or will you oppose them to shape the world after your vision?

PvE Focus:- PvP options available but can be disabled.
