Hatch from a cocoon under someone's garden and grow up as a real earthworm. Burrow through crackling ASMR soil, feed the roots of the flowers above, meet the worms next door, and fill a journal of true worm facts. No timers, no game over. Or just let it crawl on your second screen.

About This Game

A small life, under someone's garden

You hatch from a cocoon in the dark soil beneath a back garden. Above you: a brick house, a flower bed, a lawn. Below: everything they never see.

Crawl the way real worms do, a wave of muscle rippling down your body, every push into the earth crackling in your ears and in your hands. Swallow your way through clay, leave castings by hungry roots, and at dusk the camera rises to show the garden you helped grow.

Features

  • Real worm movement. Peristalsis, gripping bristles and hydrostatic pressure. Hold to cruise, or tap on the heartbeat for power strokes.
  • Grow up. Hatch small and pale; grow longer and stouter day by day, until you wear the saddle band of a grown worm.
  • Close-up ASMR world. Wet skin, soil layers, roots, stones and rain soaking down through the earth. Every crackle, squelch and munch is synthesised live from the simulation. Best with headphones.
  • Tend a garden you never see. Feed and aerate the roots of the flowers above; they sprout, bud and bloom.
  • A year in the soil. Spring rain, summer drought, autumn leaves and frozen winter ground.
  • Neighbours and discoveries. Other worms share the soil; old mole runs cross the garden; the gardener's boots wander the beds above; 21 lost things lie buried, some only in their season.
  • A field journal. Twenty true things about earthworms, each noticed as you live it.
  • Your pace. No game over and, if you like, no clock: end the day when you're ready.
  • Autoworm. A side-on ant-farm view of your worm crawling by itself: a living screensaver for your second screen.
  • Co-op for up to 4. Tend one garden together over Steam, and wiggle hello.
  • Photo mode. Freeze the moment, orbit, focus and save it; underground it becomes a lit cutaway.
  • Comfortable to play. Hold or toggle to crawl, calm camera, larger text, caption backing, adjustable look sensitivity, inverted look.
  • Full controller support with rich haptics.
  • Playable without sight. An optional audio guide speaks the menus and your status, and a spatial beacon leads you to each root.
  • Wild garden (optional). Want a little danger? Turn on a mole that hunts by sound, the gardener's spade and a hungry robin.
