About This Demo

How To Play

Each player is secretly assigned a hidden role at the start of the game, either Royalist, Rebellion or Neutral. Only the Monarch is public. A role is revealed when that player dies.

The Monarch and the Royalists are on the same side. Their goal is to eliminate every Rebel hiding in the court. But the Royalists must protect the Monarch, because if the Monarch falls, the Rebellion wins.

And watch out for Traitors. They may act friendly and pretend to be on your side, but if the Monarch is left alone with only Traitors, the Monarch loses instantly.

The game ends when the Monarch falls, the entire Rebellion is eliminated, or the Traitors win.

The Parties

- Royalists keep the Monarch alive and crush the Rebellion.

- Rebellion brings the crown down by any means.

- Neutrals chase private goals: outlive the table, back the losing side, or win in ways no one sees coming.

Roles

There will be four roles available in the demo.

The Monarch and the Loyalist share the same goal: eliminate all Rebellion players.

The Rebel wins when the Monarch dies.

The Traitor wins when only the Traitor and the Monarch are alive, or by personally killing the Monarch when no other defenders are alive.

Cards

A deck of hand-drawn Attacks, Shields, Heals, and plot cards like Brawl, Duel, Karma, and Poison.
