About This Demo

The world went dark. Someone still has to keep the lights on.

You've inherited the last store on Earth — a ruined shop, swallowed by dust and forgotten by everyone — and it's up to you to bring it back to life. Last Store on Earth is a hands-on simulator split into two halves: first you restore the shop, then you run it.

Bring the Shop Back to Life

No one's going to clean up after you. Pick up the trash, bag it, and toss it in the dumpster; mop up the puddles, wash the windows, cover up the graffiti on the walls, and repair whatever time has broken.

Restore Every Corner, By Hand

Restoration is hands-on and meticulous: paint the walls yourself and watch fresh colour swallow up years of grime — just remember to sand everything down first with the sandblaster — bring the windows back to their original shine, and chase down every last stain.

Switch the Lights Back On

And before you can open up, you need power: fill the generator with diesel, pull the cord to start it, and watch the fluorescent lights flicker back to life over the aisles.

Leave Your Mark

With the shop standing and the lights on, roll up the shutters. Order stock, receive it in crates, restock the shelves, and put a price on whatever's left of civilisation. Remember, how your store looks matters — make it your own.

Open Your Doors and Run the Business

Everyone who walks through that door is a real person, with a name, a voice, and a story of their own. Treat them well and word will spread — the world gets pretty small when so few of you are left.

A Simulator Full of Personality

  • Hands-on restoration — clean, paint, repair, and bring every corner of the shop back to life.
  • Full-scale management — orders, stock, restocking, pricing, and the till.
  • Customers with soul — a cast of characters with their own voices and stories, who may or may not come back.
  • Build mode — place and rearrange furniture however you like between shifts.
  • Power and tools — a diesel generator, an electrical grid, and the right tool for every job.
  • A living world — a day/night cycle, rain, and storms over a post-apocalyptic landscape.
  • Exploration and progression — uncover hidden rooms and unlock new furniture, mechanics, and upgrades.

The world is over. Your store isn't.

Wishlist Last Store on Earth and be among the first to roll up the shutters.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Last Store on Earth is made by a single independent developer, and every creative decision goes through the developer's hands: the world, the story, the characters and their dialogue, the game design and every mechanic are the developer's work.

At specific points in production, generative AI tools were used as support — on parts of the artwork and textures, some 3D models, sound effects, the characters' voice audio (performing lines written by the developer), and as an aid for text revision and translations. Every AI-assisted asset is reviewed, edited, and hand-integrated by the developer to fit the game's world, tone, and quality standards. No generative AI is used to imitate real, identifiable people or existing copyrighted works.
