CrystalCanvas is a puzzle game where three-dimensional artwork takes shape from a rich variety of blocks.

There is nothing complicated to work out.

A Sandbox mode lets you create freely, with no puzzle to follow - and no limit on how much you build.

Design one-of-a-kind 3D art across a variety of spaces, from a living room to a cafe.

Anything you build can be turned into a puzzle and played.

Steam Workshop support planned

In the full version, we plan to let you publish your finished pieces to the Steam Workshop.

You will also be able to download and play puzzles made by players around the world.

The library of puzzles to play keeps growing.

Note: the Steam Workshop is a full version feature and is not available in the demo. Anything you build in the demo's Sandbox carries over to the full version, so you can start creating now.

Capture your work beautifully

A full-featured screenshot mode helps you photograph your finished pieces at their best.

Adjust depth of field, saturation, contrast and more to compose your own shot - like photographing a tiny diorama.

About the demo

The demo lets you try a selection of Color by Number stages along with the Sandbox mode.

Your creations and save data carry over to the full version.

Streaming, video uploads, and screenshot posts are all welcome, whether monetized or not.

CrystalCanvas uses generative AI in parts of its development process.

For the sound effects played when placing voxels, we aimed to create sounds that remain pleasant and unobtrusive even during extended play sessions. After exploring a variety of sound assets and recordings, we ultimately used generative AI as part of the sound design process to achieve the desired result.

Generative AI is also used as a development aid through Claude Code for generating and assisting with parts of the code related to voxel space management and rendering.

Generative AI is not used to generate the voxel artwork or gameplay content itself.
