Why Early Access?

“Peckout is a multiplayer game, and multiplayer games are shaped by the people who play them. We have the core loop working and it's fun, but we want real matches with real players before we lock anything down. Early Access lets us test balance, map flow and weapon feel with an actual community instead of guessing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're aiming for roughly 12 months in Early Access, though this may change depending on how development goes and what the community needs. We'd rather take a little longer than leave the game unfinished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more game modes — hide and seek, a zombie mode, zone capture and an egg heist mode are all on our list. We also plan to expand the map pool, add more weapons and cosmetics, and improve bots and matchmaking. How much of this makes it in, and in what order, will depend on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable. Two modes (Team Match and Deathmatch), six maps, six weapons, support for up to 16 players per match, and bots so lobbies stay active. Expect rough edges — balance is still being tuned and you may run into bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price gradually as more content and features are added. Buying during Early Access means getting the game at its lowest price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We run a Discord server where players can report bugs, suggest features and vote on what we work on next. We also read Steam discussions and reviews. Peckout is built by a very small team, so direct feedback genuinely changes what gets made.”
