About This Game

The King Demanded a Weapon. You Gave Him a Joke.

As the royal blacksmith, you were ordered to forge a blade for a king hungry for conquest. Refusing him outright wasn't an option, so you chose a different kind of protest: you forged him a ridiculously tiny sword.

Branded a traitor and banished from the Kingdom, you are left with nothing but your craft and a strange talking raven. Your new companion leads you to an abandoned cave and helps you turn it into a forge, guiding you on your path to redemption.

Now, you'll have to forge your way back to becoming master blacksmith, one weapon at a time. Your customers are  shady strangers who appear at your cave after dark, bringing unusual requests, pouches full of coins, and very little patience.

Shady People Have Standards Too

Every customer arrives with a clear vision for their weapon. Follow their blueprint, choose the right metal and handle, and pay attention to the finer details if you want to meet all of their demands.

As you unlock five distinct regions, orders become more challenging. New metals heat and cool differently, unfamiliar runes add another layer to your craft, and every customer brings a unique combination of requirements.

Shape Every Strike

Using the voxel-based grid on our custom engine, you can freely shape heated metal and forge different types of blades to match the unusual requests of your customers.

You have three types of hammers at your disposal:

  • Lengthening Hammer: Draw out the heated metal to extend the blade until it reaches the desired length.

  • Widening Hammer: Spread the metal outward to create a wider, heavier blade. Not every weapon needs to be long and slender, some orders call for something much broader.

  • Precision Hammer: Shape the finer parts of your blade. Use it to form the tang, narrow the metal where needed, and shape the tip into a sharp point.

Every strike changes the shape of the metal, giving you full control over the final form of your blade.

Grind It to Perfection

Three different grinding wheels, three different purposes. Sharpen, cut, and carve your blade to give it the final shape your customer is looking for.

  • Cutting Wheel: Made the blade too long or want to make better use of your materials? Cut away the excess metal and shorten the blade to the desired length.

  • Notching Wheel: Not every blade needs a perfectly straight edge. Carve out larger notches, create more complex shapes, or fix parts that didn't turn out quite right on the anvil.

  • Sharpening Wheel: Nobody wants a dull blade. Depending on the order, sharpen one or both edges of the weapon and get it ready for final assembly.

Read Between the Runes

Customers arriving from different regions of the kingdom sometimes expect more than just a well-forged sword. With the help of an enchanted book of runes, listen carefully to their stories, figure out what they truly need, choose the right runes, and draw them correctly. This way, every weapon you forge will not only be well-crafted, but also tailored to the needs of its owner.

Each of these requests comes down to two things: finding the right runes in your book and successfully inscribing them onto the blade.

  • Book of Runes: Every new region brings new customers, new requirements, and new runes to discover. Study your book to learn what each rune represents and prepare yourself for the requests ahead.

  • Rune Drawing: Choose three runes, place them anywhere on the blade, and recreate their shapes. The moment you start drawing, the pattern disappears, so memorize it carefully and reproduce it on the weapon as accurately as you can.
