Hit, stand, or get hit

Four players sit at one table. Every round has a target number, usually 21. Whoever ends up furthest from it takes the hit. Not points. A mallet, an anvil, a revolver. You can't fully see what other players have in their hand.

Use items to survive, sabotage and more

In front of your seat there is a drawer only you can see into. You earn items by getting hurt, you can use them for surviving longer, sabotaging others and more!

Customize your character

There is a lot of costumes that you can wear, earn them by playing more!

The developers describe the content like this:

Hit or Die is a cartoon comedy game. At the end of each round the losing players are hit by the dealer with a mallet, a pan, an anvil, and later a revolver, a blowtorch or a cleaver. It is slapstick, but it shows blood, burns and character death, and the injuries stay on a character's face for the rest of the match. One item is a cigar, so there is tobacco use.

No sexual content, no nudity, no drugs or alcohol, no self-harm. Chips are used as a health bar, so there is no money and no gambling.
