Why Early Access?

“Death Game Simulator is an online party game for a crowd.
The core loop — running the show as the host, putting contestants through one absurd minigame after another — is already fully playable.

But we believe a game like this is only truly finished once many people have played it and we've folded their reactions and requests back in.
We want to tune the balance of the minigames and Mayhem Cards, add the minigames players ask for, and improve online stability — together with you. That's why we chose Early Access.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last around six months to a year.
That said, it may shift depending on how the content shapes up and the feedback we receive.
Rather than rushing to a finish line, we want to reach a state we're genuinely happy with.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, we plan to:

- Add more minigames and Mayhem Cards
- Bring every minigame online and improve network stability
- Improve the quality of the English and Simplified Chinese translations
- Expand the Workshop (where you draw your masks) and the Wrap Party

We also plan to reflect the requests we receive during Early Access and broaden how the game can be played.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As of Early Access, you can play the full flow as the host — from the opening ceremony, through several minigames, to the Wrap Party after the match.

Already implemented:
- 8 minigames
- Mayhem Cards that turn the tables
- Masks you draw yourself — putting one on changes your voice
- Egg Peeps characters with customizable looks
- Online play where you invite friends in as contestants with a 6-digit passphrase
- Voice chat that changes with distance

The game is fully available in Japanese; English and Simplified Chinese are being improved over time.
Some areas are still being adjusted, such as online support for one of the minigames.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the current price during Early Access.
As we add content such as minigames and cards, we may raise the price when the full version launches.
If you buy during Early Access, you'll get everything we add afterward at no extra cost.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We welcome your feedback, requests, and bug reports on the Steam Community hub and on social media.
We want to reflect your voices in which minigames and cards we add, in difficulty and balance tuning, and in how online play feels.
Since this is an online multiplayer game, hearing how it actually plays for you is the most valuable clue we can get.
