Why Early Access?

“Early Access gives players a chance to enjoy Wallpaper Dungeon while I continue expanding its content and refining progression. Player feedback will help guide dungeon pacing, loot, hero and pet progression, and quality-of-life improvements. Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud support are configured for the game, and I’ll keep refining the experience based on how players use them.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Wallpaper Dungeon to remain in Early Access for approximately 3–4 months. This estimate may change depending on player feedback, balancing needs, and the development of planned features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the Early Access foundation with additional dungeon content, enemies, bosses, heroes, races, pets, equipment, gems, progression systems, and quality-of-life improvements. We also plan to keep refining balance, pacing, automation, desktop integration, accessibility, and presentation based on player feedback. Planned additions may change as development continues.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and includes the core Wallpaper Dungeon experience: interactive desktop wallpaper gameplay, automatic dungeon exploration and combat, hero recruitment and leveling, pets and pet training, procedural dungeons, loot, gear, gems, shops, upgrades, saves, and long-term progression.

The game is still being balanced and expanded. Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud support are configured for the game. The initial release targets Windows 10/11 x64; Linux support is experimental and is not part of the guaranteed Early Access platform set.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the Early Access price at its current level and may raise the price to reflect the additional content and features available when the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through Discord, Steam discussions, player feedback, bug reports, and community
conversations. We’ll listen to forum and chat feedback, review suggestions and recurring issues, and use that input to
help guide balance, pacing, quality-of-life improvements, and future content.”

About This Game

Wallpaper Dungeon is a slow-paced idle dungeon-crawler RPG designed to live directly on your Desktop WALLPAPER. Your party continues exploring, battling, collecting loot, and descending into deeper dungeons while you work, browse, create, or even mow the lawn.

Holding LEFT-CLICK + moving around with WASD in the view-port will allow you to run around,  DISABLING random monster encounters,  LEAVING IT ALONE will set it into AUTO MODE and get you back into Auto-Play.  

Your randomized party explores forgotten corridors, battles lurking creatures, gathers treasure, and descends into deeper dungeons—even while life continues beyond the screen.

Let the expedition run automatically while you are away, or take control by clicking and holding the first-person dungeon view to move forward yourself.

  • Recruit a randomized party from 20 fantasy races.

  • Watch automatic dungeon exploration and combat.
