About This Game

Shift between The Living World and The Dead World and explore the forgotten catacombs!

Styx and Bones is a short Action-RPG where you play as Theodore, a graveyard keeper who let some thieves break into the Catacombs under the graveyard. After confronting them and dying, he is revived by the Goddess Styx, who tells him that if they can recover the artifacts they stole, he can be revived.

The Goddess Styx gives him a special "idol" of herself that allows him to shift between two worlds! Between the worlds things change, sometimes a little, and sometimes a lot! Appearances, mechanics and enemy behaviors can differ between worlds, forcing Theodore to use his control of the current world to his advantage if he wishes to escape!

Confront thieves wielding strange artifacts!

Defeat the three (or four...?) thieves with different abilities! If you win, maybe you could use the artifacts for yourself?

Combat Features:

• Fire at enemies with Theodore's shovel and doge their attacks through Bullet-hell like combat!

• Close your eyes to build concentration, which can be used to cast spells!

• Manage the universal Shift-Multiplier that represents damage in the game! 

  • The longer you are in one world, the more damage everyone takes

• Shift during combat to increase your speed and recover!

• I wonder if Styx could help you out eventually...
