About This Game

The Gaslight is a chaotic social deduction game built around proximity voice chat, hidden roles, deception and ridiculous situations.

One player is the Murderer. One is the Detective. Everyone else has their own objectives - and everyone is trying to figure out who they can trust.

🎭 ROLES & OBJECTIVES

Play as the Murderer, Detective, Bystander, Accomplice, Decoy, and more.

• Murderer: Kill everyone else. The Murderer has a knife and must stay hidden while eliminating the other players.

• Detective: Find and kill the Murderer. The Detective has a pistol, but shooting the wrong person can have consequences.

• Bystanders: Complete your missions, stay alive and escape. You can also help the Detective find the Murderer.

• Accomplice: Secretly help the Murderer and win alongside them.

• Decoy: Get yourself killed by either the Detective or the Murderer.

• Every player also has pepper spray that can temporarily stun others. However, the Murderer's and Detective's pepper spray doesn't actually work - they can show it to appear harmless, but can't use it.

Talk to players around you and use your voice to survive.

Convince others you're innocent, share information, make alliances, accuse suspicious players or lie your way out of trouble.

🎲 EVERY ROUND IS DIFFERENT

No scripted conversations. No fixed strategy.

Just players talking, lying, accusing, panicking, making terrible decisions and trying to figure out what is actually happening.
