A top-down gothic action RPG set over one long night, in a parish that raised its own dead. Enemies show where each blow will land, loot gets better the deeper you go, and every endgame map lays out a new road. On hardcore a death is permanent, and the live ladder remembers it.

Lo que dicen los desarrolladores:

¿Por qué Acceso anticipado?

“Dreadmark is developed WITH its players, loudly: Discord threads for suggestions and reports, votes steering priority, and the game updating within days to match. Early Access is that loop running in public — play it, shape it, watch your thread become a patch note.”

¿Cuánto tiempo va a estar este juego en Acceso anticipado aproximadamente?

“We're planning for roughly 12 months in Early Access, though this could shift based on community feedback and the pace of development.”

¿Qué tan diferente será la versión completa de la versión de Acceso anticipado?

“We plan to grow the class roster from two toward five by 1.0, each with skill trees of real synergy weight, runes that mutate skills into new ones, and loot affixes that bend whole builds. We plan to add more zones and acts, deeper endgame tiers, expanded rune coverage, and additional achievements and cloud-save polish. Core combat, loot, and the seasonal ladder are playable from day one. We're also investigating co-op and PvP modes as a post-1.0 possibility with the community — not a promise, just something we're exploring.”

¿Cuál es el estado actual de la versión de Acceso anticipado?

“Two playable classes — a shield-and-blade Penitent and a Witch built around status and ranged pressure — each with a full skill tree and rune-mutation system. Three connected areas: a hub camp, a moonlit outdoor road/graveyard stretch, and the Cathedral, ending in a real boss fight. Loot with on-hit and when-struck affixes, an optional hardcore permadeath mode, and 33 Steam achievements already live. The online layer is fully connected from day one: server-verified seasonal leaderboards, global chat, a herald announcing the ladder's deeds, and the fallen lingering as ghosts whose gear you can inspect.”

¿El precio del juego será diferente durante y después del Acceso anticipado?

“Dreadmark launches Early Access at $9.99. We plan to raise the price when the game leaves Early Access at 1.0, so joining early is also the best price you'll see.”

¿Cómo tienes planeado involucrar a la comunidad en tu proceso de desarrollo?

“The Dreadmark Discord is where the community drives development directly: players suggest changes and report issues, the community votes on what gets prioritized, and updates land within days rather than quarters, so a suggestion thread can become a patch note. In-game, a built-in report tool lets players flag bugs and feedback without leaving the game. Every patch's changelog reflects what the community asked for, so players can see their own influence on the game as it grows toward 1.0.”

Acerca de este juego

Dreadmark is a top-down action RPG set over one long night. A parish raised its own dead to fight a plague, and the dead stayed. You fight your way from a refugee camp to the cathedral where their master waits, pick up what they drop, and keep rebuilding your character until it can survive the next fight. It is hard on purpose.

Fights you can read[

Every enemy winds up before it hits, and the ground shows where the blow will land. Step out of it or roll through it. A Templar can also take it on the shield and punish the recovery. When you get hit, it should be because you misread the fight.

Magic and rare monsters roll affixes of their own, so a rare pack can hit faster, carry more life or bring an aura. On hardcore a death is permanent, and one bad read against the big ones can end a character.

Classes, runes and loot

The Templar wins fights by standing in them. Landing hits and blocking them builds Vigor, which he spends on cleaves, shield charges and consecrated ground. The Witch keeps her distance and lets poison and rot spread from body to body, then bursts everything she has infected at once. Each has three skill trees, almost every skill takes a rune that changes what it does, and more classes join after launch.

Items roll their affixes from where they dropped, so the deeper you go the better they get. Some cast a skill when you are struck, others add poison to every hit. Orbs reroll and upgrade what you find, and the Dread Sigil can push an item past anything it could roll on its own, or ruin it.

A new road with every map

Beat the Dark Lord and he leaves a Dread Map behind. Spend orbs on it and it picks up modifiers. Some make packs bigger, some make monsters tougher or their blows heavier, and the spoils grow with every one.

Open the map at the stone frame in camp and the game lays out a stretch of road for it from pieces we built, so every map is ground you have not walked. Die inside and walk back in, and the same road is waiting.

Alone on the road, never offline

You play alone, inside a world that is shared. A live ladder ranks every pilgrim, and every run is checked before it counts. The Reckoning times a new character's run to the Dark Lord.

Fallen hardcore characters stay on the board as ghosts you can inspect, gear and all. When someone is the first to reach a level or to bring down the Dark Lord, the Herald names them in chat.

Bug reports and suggestions go to the Dreadmark Discord, where the people making the game read them, and the popular ideas usually ship within days.

Información sobre contenido generado por IA

Los desarrolladores describen cómo sus juegos utilizan contenido generado por IA de esta manera:

Some 2D artwork (key art, item icons, and UI art) was created using generative-AI tools, with human selection and editing.

Descripción del contenido para adultos

Los desarrolladores describen su contenido así:

Dreadmark contains stylized fantasy violence: players fight undead, cultists, and gothic horrors using melee weapons, ranged attacks, and magic skills. Blood and hit effects are stylized rather than realistic, and there is no dismemberment, gore, or torture. The game's atmosphere is bleak and unsettling (graveyards, ruins, a cathedral) but is not realistic horror. Dreadmark also includes an optional Gamble Stall where players spend in-game gold — never real money — for a chance at a random item, similar to gambling mechanics found in other action RPGs.
