Почему ранний доступ?

«I have no idea what I'm doing. Originally, I felt like there were no fun shooters to play with my friends casually and as a CS major I thought I could at least try my hand at making something. In terms of systems, I really want to expand on selectable gamemodes, QoL with matchmaking, perk functionality, weapon platforms, abilities (and ultimates) , map design, and a TON of modelling and rigging are currently in the works. I need a higher sample size to see balance ideologies and pathways. »

«Feedback (on everything), game data exports from playtesters, and bug fixes will all be sent to me. These can be submitted through the community discord where I will be openly discussing game direction. »

Speed is the weapon.

Rior's Arena is a multiplayer movement shooter where positioning is something you do at 30 metres per second. Wallrun to hold height, slide cancel to keep speed through corners, grapple to close a gap or escape one, double jump to rewrite a duel. Use abilities and perks to define your loadout. 

What's actually in the build

  • 38 weapons, Magic grimoires, standard rifles, launchers, melee variations, the whole suite.

  • 16 abilities, 12 ultimates, 6 grenades, 46 perks — Unique character builds and player concepts.

  • 4 modes + a range: Team Deathmatch, FFA, Hardpoint, and Showdown a round based elimination mode where you start with one pistol and draft weapons, abilities, perks, and an ultimate as the rounds escalate.

  • 12 maps, from a night suburb to a canyon cut for grapple routes.

  • Bots that play the game: loadout archetypes, wallriding, grenades, objective anchoring, and Showdown lives. Host a lobby alone and you still get a match.

  • Cosmetics without a shop: 8 hats, 5 faceware, 6 body skins, 5 pilot models. Earned through natural progression

The feel

Fast TTKS, hero shooter style abilities to define your own kit, creativity is rewarded by strengthening a play style of your choice ^_^
