About This Game

DIDGERIDOO MAN – The Legend of the Hill

One man. One hill. One didgeridoo. Zero explanations.

On that green hill you've half-noticed out of the corner of your eye your whole life sits a big man in an undershirt. He has no plan. But he has a didgeridoo. And he's playing the game's entire soundtrack on it — live, note by note, whether you like it or not.

Your job: shoot everything that flies, hops or wobbles across the screen, exactly in time with the music. Sounds simple. It isn't. Because this game has one iron rule:

DO NOT MISS.

Every stray shot makes the man angrier. He blows louder. His cheeks swell. His face turns red. Steam starts rising from his head. And if you keep missing... well, let's just say the hill is going to need a new tenant soon.

Work your way through a campaign of 10 wildly different levels, unlock content, and hunt down 33 achievements — and once the story isn't enough for you anymore, dive into ENDLESS MODE: 63 songs, 15 rotating theme worlds, randomized difficulty, and no end in sight except your own inevitable meltdown.

FEATURES

- A 10-level campaign, each level exactly as long as its song, each with its own theme, costumes and flying targets — from a night train to pumpkin night to a moon landing

- ENDLESS MODE: 63 original tracks, played back-to-back in random order across 15 rotating theme worlds, with difficulty re-rolled for every single song

- THE ANGER SYSTEM: miss your shots and watch the man turn red, start steaming, and eventually explode at full anger. The flying sausage calms him down reliably and has genuine therapeutic value

- A fully hand-animated band that actually performs every single note of the soundtrack live, on their didgeridoos

- 33 unlockable achievements, including a few secret ones hidden somewhere in the menus

- FULL MOD SUPPORT: build your own levels with your own music, your own characters (SVG/PNG), your own backgrounds and your own Windows-style popup texts — no coding required

- Cinematic boot intro, an animated main menu, adjustable graphics quality and a high-contrast mode for accessibility

- Separate volume sliders for master, main-menu music, in-game music and sound effects

- Persistent highscore, saved campaign progress and Discord Rich Presence support

- Authentic error messages from a beloved operating system of the early 2000s

HOW TO PLAY

Mouse — aim & shoot

ESC / P — pause (the man waits. reluctantly.)

F11 — toggle fullscreen

Reach the target score before the song ends. Don't miss. Feed the man a sausage when things get heated. That's it. That's the game.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI is used in this game for tasks such as music generation. As an indie game and a small software development studio, we simply do not have the budget to license a large number of well-known and popular songs. Unfortunately, nothing comes for free – so AI is used as an alternative.

AI is also used for tasks such as integrating graphics, music and beat analysis, and translating content. AI can complete time-consuming tasks within minutes that would otherwise take a human several hours.

No jobs are being replaced or put at risk through the use of AI in this project. This “crazy game” was still made with lots of love by humans. An AI probably would not have come up with a game idea like this anyway.

And because it fits the topic far too well: purely on principle, this disclosure text was of course also written with the help of AI.
