What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As an indie dev, we want to test ideas with real players before committing to them for 1.0. Early Access lets us tune pacing and balance around actual feedback. We think we've added a twist to the genre that makes it truly entertaining, and we want the community to help shape where it goes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're aiming for roughly one year, with meaningful updates planned monthly. The exact length will depend on feedback and how it shapes our 1.0 plans.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Planned for 1.0:

* A prologue/intro sequence explaining how you ended up here
* Robust modding support
* Raid mode: waves of enemies attack your store and you have to defend it
* Deeper zone simulation
* More voice lines”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Core gameplay loop for EA: Customers enter the shop, buy things, the player accepts cash and gives change. The player stocks shelves, sets prices.

A Reputation system is in place based on player actions. If prices are too high, too low, or if they kill customers when the customers aren't stealing, the reputation system reacts.

An insurance system: customers insure their gear with you, and if they lose it in the zone you decide whether to pay to recover it or eat the cost and replace it.

Basic gun mechanics that allow the player to defend their shop from looters.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“EA price will remain as-is for the duration of EA. On launch of 1.0, we'd like to keep it at that same price, but that depends on many factors.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be constantly gathering and cataloging feedback from discord, steam reviews, social media, and a feedback form accessible from the game. We'll regularly share roadmap updates so players can see how their feedback is shaping the game.”

About This Game

Extraction Shop Simulator is a first-person shop management sim set at the edge of the Exclusion Zone. Hunters buy your products. If you're selling good enough gear, they make it out. If not, you got paid either way.

Order stock, unpack crates, fill the shelves, set your prices. Fair prices bring customers back. Bad prices get noticed.

Hunters shop to fill the gaps in their load-out, from scrap masks to military armor. What you stock decides what they carry.

Overnight, your customers take what you sold them past the fence. The morning report tells you who made it back, and your reputation decides who shows up tomorrow.

Climb the Administration's tiers to unlock new product lines, shop upgrades, and more.

Some customers are here to steal. Spot the tells, and keep your reputation intact.

Sell insurance on gear headed into the Zone, and send Runners to recover what your customers lost. More success means more rep.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Moderate violence, use of guns to shoot whoever the shop keeper wants to. Mild blood spatter. Occasional visible corpses.
