About This Game

Nordic Sprint is a classic-style cross-country skiing game you can play from a third-person or first-person view – your choice. Manage your stamina, pick the right technique for the terrain, use the draft and build your own strategy with 20 abilities on your way to the World Cup title.

Every type of terrain has its own rhythm. The right technique and a well-timed final sprint can decide the race.
  • Double poling – the efficient way to keep your speed on the flats.
  • Diagonal stride – climb the uphills and match your rhythm to the terrain.
  • Tuck – pick up speed on the downhills and save your strength.

Skiing behind another racer saves stamina, shelters you from the headwind and charges your boost. Do you stay in the draft or make your move to the front? The final metres can change everything. Watch out for obstacles on the track – one hit can cost you precious seconds.

Weather isn't just an effect – it changes how you ski, and conditions can shift in the middle of a race.
  • Snowfall – the leader breaks the trail for everyone else. A track that's already been opened glides better.
  • Frost – a fast, icy track changes the feel of every push.
  • Above zero – sticky snow holds you back. Time to switch technique?
  • Fog – reduced visibility makes the track harder to read.
  • Wind – tailwinds and headwinds affect your speed, and their strength keeps changing.
Races are held in the morning, during the day, in the evening and at night.

Each season's calendar mixes sprints, biathlons, time trials with target times, training days and licence races. At the end of the season, the best are honoured on the podium.
  • 20 abilities, each with three levels. Upgrades cost ability points, and prices rise as the seasons go on – choose wisely.
  • Passives: some abilities can be turned into passives that are always active. You can switch back for points – but is it worth it?
  • Normal: progress at your own pace. A weak season won't wipe out your progress.
  • Hardcore: separate, pricier abilities and tighter earnings. One failed season and you start over.
Win championships and earn currency for new looks.

  • Sprint – fast-paced racing where technique, stamina and timing decide the winner.
  • Biathlon – combine speed and precision. Hit all five targets and avoid penalty seconds.
  • Relay – a two-skier relay where even the order of the legs can decide the result. Nail the exchange minigame and send your partner off at full speed. Your partner can also be an AI skier.

Single Race – pick a track from 27 options or let the game choose at random. Set the number and difficulty of AI skiers, the weather, the time of day, abilities and passives.
Time Trial – chase the best time on the Steam leaderboard. Race against your own best run or the ghost of the player just above you on the leaderboard.
Tutorial and guide – learn the basics through drills and dig deeper in the in-game guide.

Host your own server – open to everyone or password-protected for your friends.
  • Up to 12 skiers and 4 spectators. Fill empty spots with AI bots.
  • Set up the race just like in Single Race.
  • Play a casual race or a multiplayer championship – and earn currency in multiplayer too.

Relive the race through TV cameras or a free camera. Photo mode lets you freeze the game and take shots from any angle.

Choose your hairstyle, headwear, glasses, race suit and your own bib number. Unlock new looks in the shop with currency earned from championships.

18 tracks plus 9 reverse versions – 27 track options in total. Some tracks feature a shooting range or a relay exchange zone. The tour travels through nine countries:
Finland · Sweden · Norway · Germany · France · Italy · Switzerland · USA · Canada

  • Third-person or first-person view
  • Keyboard & mouse or controller
  • Languages: English and Finnish

Ready to take on the track?
Nordic Sprint – find your rhythm and master the track.
