About This Game

START WITH A BRICK. BUILD AN EMPIRE.

BRICK is a first-person urban survival sandbox set in a living, Newark-inspired open world. Begin with almost nothing, search the streets for opportunity, and transform scavenged materials into weapons, vehicles, territory, and a fortified home.

Survive alone, command AI recruits, or enter an online co-op city where another player can become your closest clan member or your greatest enemy.

EXPLORE THE CITY AND BEYOND

Travel through active neighborhoods, businesses, homes, rival territory, forests, rocky hills, and dangerous points of interest.

 • Search enterable homes and businesses for supplies.
 • Explore forests for natural resources, wildlife, abandoned loot sites, and places to build.
 • Raid high-value locations such as the Warehouse and Bunker.
 • Battle armed Commandos while waiting for rare timed crates.
 • Visit markets, the gym, the lighthouse, the Police HQ, Tony's vehicle shop, and other city landmarks.
 • Experience a full day-and-night cycle with rain, snow, storms, blackouts, and changing visibility.

The city is safer during the day. At night, the forest becomes nearly pitch black, making torches, vehicle headlights, and preparation essential.

SCAVENGE, HARVEST, AND SURVIVE

Everything begins with what you can find.

 • Harvest trees, stone, metal, sulfur, bushes, and other resource nodes.
 • Smash salvage crates for components and collect food from supply caches.
 • Fish, farm, hunt, mine, and recycle unwanted components.
 • Manage health, hunger, stamina, body weight, equipment, and weapon durability.
 • Recover dropped loot after death before another survivor or AI claims it.

Your survivor improves through action. Driving, harvesting, mining, fishing, shooting, scavenging, exercise, trade, strength, and other skills become more effective as you use them.

Eating more increases body weight and carrying capacity, but slows movement. Exercise at the city gym to lose weight, improve mobility, and develop your survivor differently.

UNLOCK BLUEPRINTS AND ADVANCE YOUR WORKBENCH

Powerful equipment cannot simply be crafted from the beginning.

Earn BITS, discover resources, and use Workbenches to unlock blueprints. Each Workbench displays the clothing, armor, weapons, ammunition, placeables, and building components available at its level.

 • Unlock items before crafting them.
 • Unlock compatible ammunition automatically by researching its weapon.
 • Upgrade Workbenches in place to access higher-tier technology.
 • Craft doors, gates, defenses, storage, traps, turrets, and other placeable items.
 • Move crafted equipment between your inventory, backpack, equipment slots, and hotbar.

Resources can be drawn directly from authorized storage containers within your claimed territory, allowing an organized base to function as a true crafting center.

BUILD, UPGRADE, AND DEFEND

Claim territory and develop anything from a temporary shelter into a fortified compound.

Use the Build Kit's radial menu to place foundations, walls, ceilings, stairs, ramps, doorways, windows, and other structural pieces. Craft doors, Compound Walls, gates, traps, and placeables separately before positioning them from your hotbar.

 • Use Resource Cabinets to claim land and maintain base upkeep.
 • Store supplies in protected containers throughout your claim.
 • Upgrade and repair structures with a Hammer.
 • Build garages, defensive walls, towers, traps, and automated defenses.
 • Protect structural foundations to prevent unsupported pieces from collapsing.
 • Prepare for stronger attacks as your base becomes larger, richer, and more notorious.

Enemy structures must be raided with appropriate weapons. Destroy a rival Resource Cabinet to seize its stored resources and earn bonus BITS.

SURVIVE A WORLD OF AI RIVALS

You are not the only survivor trying to control the world.

AI survivors have different personalities, professions, priorities, relationships, and histories. They harvest, mine, fish, scavenge, drive vehicles, claim Wards, form clans, build bases, defend territory, raid enemies, and compete for resources.

Farmers may prefer trade. Raiders may demand tribute. Builders fortify their territory. Threatened clans may form temporary defensive alliances.

Named rivals can remember defeats, stolen territory, destroyed bases, and betrayals. AI survivors also use chat to report their plans, make offers, issue threats, and respond to player questions or taunts.

COMMAND YOUR RECRUITS

Recruit survivors into your clan and assign them meaningful work.

 • Order recruits to follow, harvest, mine, farm, defend, or perform other jobs.
 • Send recruits to gather resources while you explore or visit the Arcade.
 • Keep Food Boxes supplied or hungry recruits will stop working.
 • Call recruits back to your position and have them navigate gates and compound entrances.
 • Bring followers along in vehicles while other recruits continue their assigned jobs.

Your recruits remember their jobs and locations when the game is saved.

CRIME HAS CONSEQUENCES

Robbery, violence, vehicle theft, and trespassing can attract unwanted attention.

Witnesses report crimes. Police pursue wanted suspects, make arrests, and can impound vehicles. As your wanted level rises, stronger police and SWAT responses enter the fight.

Reach maximum wanted status and law enforcement may follow you beyond the city, assaulting your base until the threat is eliminated.

Police sweeps, gang wars, convoy robberies, resource shortages, storms, and citywide blackouts can change the danger level of the entire world.

STEAL, DRIVE, AND OWN VEHICLES

Find vehicles throughout the world, break into them, and escape through active traffic.

 • Hotwire vehicles that do not belong to you.
 • Take eligible stolen vehicles to Tony and purchase a legal title.
 • Store supplies in vehicle trunks.
 • Transport clan members and recruits.
 • Customize the color of owned vehicles.
 • Use headlights to navigate the forest after dark.

Rain and snow affect handling, high-speed turns can cause skidding, and careless driving can damage vehicles or injure anyone in your path.

COMPLETE CONTRACTS AND CONTROL THE WARDS

Take on randomized theft, rescue, assassination, delivery, defense, and territory contracts. Missions may include complications such as police activity, rival interference, resource shortages, or changing weather.

Capture Wards, expand your influence, develop rival histories, and decide whether other clans are more valuable as trading partners, temporary allies, or raid targets.

PLAY ALONE OR IN ONLINE CO-OP

Play as a lone survivor or share the city with another player.

All players begin as potential enemies. Invite another player into your clan to share access, combine recruiting strength, build together, and coordinate attacks.

Players outside your clan cannot use your storage, doors, building pieces, or placeables. Without trust and a clan invitation, another human survivor may be more dangerous than any AI rival.

Co-op includes proximity and clan voice options for coordinating—or negotiating—without leaving the game.

TAKE A BREAK AT THE UNDAWIRRLD ARCADE

Find the A marker and enter the UndaWirrld Arcade Safezone.

The Arcade contains six playable machines featuring free games from the publisher. Assign your recruits a job, step away from the streets, and enjoy a complete game inside the game without worrying about an immediate attack.

CHOOSE HOW HARD YOU WANT TO SURVIVE

Select Casual, Standard, UndaWirrld, or Custom difficulty settings. Adjust loot, AI aggression, raids, hunger, and death penalties to create the experience you want.

New-game modifiers add even more replayability:

 • Scarce Resources
 • Permanent Death
 • Hostile City
 • Endless Winter
 • All-Out Clan Warfare
HOW WILL YOU SURVIVE?
Steal or trade. Build or raid. Obey the law or become the city's most wanted survivor. Form a powerful clan or trust no one.

In BRICK, every resource matters, every rival remembers, and every decision leaves a mark.
