About This Game

Every intervention changes the planet

In CoreVore, you embark on mining expeditions across mutable voxel planets. Explore underground layers, carve tunnels, scan the rock, extract resources, and deploy autonomous machinery.

Mining never leaves the world untouched. Breaking rock affects planetary stability, and every new route can expose both valuable materials and new hazards.

Depending on the planet, you may face collapsing rock, flowing water and lava, loose or sinking ground, slippery surfaces, extreme heat, darkness, and tunnels that grow back behind you. Some materials melt, freeze, or react with their surroundings. Volatile and resonant deposits can trigger destructive chain reactions.

The environment is not a backdrop. It is part of the challenge.

Decide when it is time to leave

Before each flight, the Board shows the selected planet, its primary threat, resource richness, local order, and the capabilities required for deployment.

What happens next is up to you. Focus on the order, continue exploring, or begin evacuation early. During a normal expedition, an unfinished local order does not prevent you from leaving, but you will lose its additional reward.

Your haul is secured only after a successful evacuation. If your suit is destroyed or the planetary collapse completes, everything collected during the current expedition is lost. Permanent equipment and career progression remain intact.

When planetary stability is exhausted, the final collapse countdown begins. The longer you continue working, the less room you have for mistakes.

Secure what you have—or keep mining under growing pressure?

Choose your own evacuation site

You do not have to return to a predetermined exit.

Deploy the portable Escape Pod wherever you choose, or relocate it remotely to a new site. Start the evacuation sequence and clear the launch zone of obstructing rock.

You are not required to remain beside the pod after launch. While it prepares for departure, you can keep moving and mining—if you are willing to accept the extra risk.

Use the right Multi-Tool mode

The Multi-Tool combines several ways to interact with the voxel world:

  • Laser progressively breaks a targeted voxel and extracts its material.
  • Volume Cutter quickly clears the nearest face of the terrain but produces no resources.
  • Charge breaches durable layers with an explosion and may destabilize the surrounding rock.
  • Thermal Mode freezes water, cools lava, and melts ice or permafrost.
  • Scanner helps locate resources and explore hidden underground structures.

Additional modes become available through career progression. The same obstacle can be approached in different ways: carefully extract valuable material, cut a quick passage, or transform the surrounding environment.

Deploy autonomous machinery

Placeable machines continue working after deployment and help you control a limited area of the planet:

  • Drill Rig extracts resources and transfers them into the expedition’s shared cargo.
  • Stabilizer protects a local area from falling unstable masses.
  • Drainer removes nearby water and can handle lava after the appropriate module is acquired.
  • Hardener replaces loose and sinking ground with stable material. An additional module allows it to suppress regrowth.
  • Light Beacon illuminates the surrounding area and helps on planets where natural light is weakened.
  • Escape Pod provides the means to evacuate your collected cargo.

Every machine has a limited operating area. Choosing where to place it matters just as much as choosing which machine to bring.

Explore distinct planets

Each planet has its own generation profile, underground structure, resources, threat, and equipment requirements.

Enter the frozen and flooded regions of Cryoveil, navigate the collapsing caverns of Geode Shallows, explore the light-consuming depths of Umbra, hold back the regrowing tunnels of Mycelia, and survive the burning fractures of Fulminate.

Layered worlds, vertical shafts, hollow interiors, dense rock formations, flooded basins, and fractured depths require different routes and preparations. Some planets are available immediately, while others require a suitable tool mode, machine, or module.

Every expedition is procedurally generated from the selected planet’s profile and seed.

Build your career between expeditions

After a successful evacuation, extracted materials are transferred into permanent storage. At the Board, you can:

  • sell materials for credits;
  • deliver them to long-term contracts;
  • purchase equipment through the Market;
  • build equipment and modules in the Fabricator;
  • save resources for future acquisitions;
  • repay your ship debt.

Local orders last only for the current expedition and provide a separate credit reward when completed. Long-term contracts persist between expeditions and require you to manually deliver stored materials.

Acquired equipment becomes a permanent part of your career. It opens new ways to interact with the world and grants access to planets with additional requirements.

Interest is added to your ship debt after ordinary flights—including failed ones. Your ultimate career objective is to repay the debt completely.

Key features

  • A mutable voxel world built around extraction, destruction, and material transformation.
  • Systemic collapses, liquids, temperature, phase changes, and voxel reactions.
  • Distinct planets with their own generation profiles, resources, hazards, and access requirements.
  • A handheld Multi-Tool with different ways to interact with the world.
  • Scanning for hidden resources and underground structures.
  • Autonomous machines with localized operating areas.
  • A portable Escape Pod that can be relocated remotely.
  • Complete loss of the current expedition’s cargo after a terminal failure.
  • Local orders and persistent contracts.
  • The Market, Fabricator, and permanent equipment progression.
  • Rare materials with special extraction requirements.
  • Ship debt and accumulating interest that maintain economic pressure.

Mine only what you can bring home.
