About This Game

They are not here to be cured. They are here because nobody has ever made them lose.

Ward 9 is an interface-driven sci-fi psychological horror game about entering minds built to resist you. Five patients. Five impossible records. Every one of them knows how to redirect a question, weaponize sympathy, and make the observer doubt what they saw.

You are the Aide. The Source gives you seven days to get behind their defenses.

Read every response. Choose when to question, reflect, confront, or retreat. Build rapport without surrendering control. Protect your limited capacity. Repair ruptures before a patient shuts you out. Every successful exchange opens another protected layer of the record, but every layer gives the patient more information about you.

The patient is not the only person being evaluated.

Behind each file is a fixed, authored horror story involving impossible knowledge, missing families, engineered disasters, erased identities, synthetic grief, and institutional experiments that should never have survived review. The truth does not arrive as exposition. You earn it through sustained psychological pressure, contradictions, case evidence, and breakthroughs that can take hours to reach.

At the end of the cycle, the Source asks for what you uncovered. Disclose it. Withhold it. Destroy it. Your decisions determine what the institution learns, what the patients remember, and whether you return as the same Aide.

KEY FEATURES

  • Enter five fully authored patient records, each with a distinct personality, crime, defense pattern, and protected truth.
  • Conduct tense psychological confrontations through questioning, reflection, challenge, observation, and strategic withdrawal.
  • Manage rapport, treatment capacity, rupture, repair, and clinical insight across a persistent seven-day cycle.
  • Use Source Assist to read behavioral signals without letting the institution make every decision for you.
  • Unlock case files, contradictions, breakthroughs, achievements, and permanent evidence through deliberate play.
  • Face morally unstable end-of-cycle decisions that determine what the Source is allowed to keep.
  • Experience a restrained sci-fi horror world built from surveillance, impossible testimony, institutional control, and the fear that the person across from you understands you first.

Get inside the minds of the people who never let anyone win. Then find your way back out.
