You're an exhausted guide running a failing travel agency. Herd the world's most unruly tourists through airports, landmarks and gift shops, pick up the stragglers (or just throw them where they need to go), make them spend before the clock runs out, and get everyone back on the bus alive.

About This Game

You're a Catalien. These tourists are your problem.

Holidaze is a loud comedy game about walking the world's worst tour group through airports, souvenir shops, landmarks, and whatever goes wrong on the way.

You're the guide. The agency is barely staying open, so it's on you to get each tour done. Round everyone up, move them to the next stop before it closes, and get them spending before the whole thing falls apart.

Tourists wander off. They jam up doorways, buy things they'll never use, lose their bags. Once in a while they do something you'll be thinking about for the rest of the day. Your job is to keep the line moving, keep the score up, and have everyone back on the bus when the timer hits zero.

What You'll Do

You have a set of guide tools: call tourists over, stop them, pick them up, throw them, steer the wanderers back in. Levels are small and packed. Most of the time you want the group together, but often the easier move is to split them up, drop a barrier, hand out snacks, or haul someone bodily out of a souvenir shop.

Every tourist comes with something. Some are slow, some are wired, some can't walk past a shop, some stop every few steps for a photo. And a few of them, you eventually realize, showed up specifically to ruin your day.

At the same time you're handling:

- Tourists who leave the route and don't look where they're going

- Packed walkways, queues, and moving parts that knock people over

- Photo spots and timed targets, plus every shop trying to slow you down

- Dropped wallets, annoyed staff, security alarms going off

- The tourist who stops dead in front of a cat, a snack, or an exhibit and won't move

Spend Money to Make Money

Getting everyone back is the low bar. Tips go up when tourists enjoy themselves. Shoppers pay you commission. A run with no incidents keeps the agency going a little longer.

Each trip gets scored: timing, how happy the tourists are, how much they spent, how many accidents, how many complaints, how many of them actually came back. Score becomes money, money buys tools, and then you take on a worse tour.

The company is close to broke, the customers are impossible, and each route is more absurd than the one before. Airport terminal, crowded tourist street, famous landmark. Every new place has something else waiting to go wrong.

Join the Tour

Holidaze is still in development, and where it goes depends a lot on what players say. Come hang out in the community, post the wreckage from your worst runs, and tell us what you want to see in the next level.
