About This Game

When Aoi receives a letter from her grandmother asking for help at the family store, she doesn't hesitate. The shop is small, the shelves need restocking, and the neighbourhood won't sort itself. Ordinary work for an ordinary place. At least while the sun's up.

Yokai Mart is a cozy store management sim about running a convenience store at the edge of the spirit world. Aoi orders stock, fills shelves, and chats with the locals during the day. At night, her grandmother's old friends start showing up. Turns out the store has always meant something to them too.

Keep inventory stocked, place orders, and get to know the people who walk through the door. The daytime regulars have their own small stories, and sometimes what they tell you is more useful than it first seems.

Some nights, not everyone who walks in is exactly human. Each yokai is its own puzzle: they have things they love, things that put them off, and a particular way of being in the world. Figure out what makes them feel at home and the harmony starts to build.

Keep the Notebook.

Everything Aoi learns gets written down. When a yokai visits for the first time, their page unlocks. Check back often and patterns start to emerge: which nights they appear, what they respond to, what a story character mentioned offhand that suddenly makes sense. The notebook never feels finished, which is sort of the point.

Follow the cycle.

Day and night shape everything. Each morning brings three new choices: small decisions with real consequences, some free, some costly, all of them quietly making the store a little more Aoi's own.

The yokai are her grandmother's old friends. Aoi is just learning to become theirs.
