About This Game

Morhval: Ravenglaire is a dark fantasy text RPG focused on exploration, character building, turn-based combat, and decisions with lasting consequences.

You are eighteen years old when hunger reaches your home. With little more than a weapon, a few supplies, and your own judgment, you leave for Ravenglaire: a fractured province of closed gates, frightened villages, old powers, desperate families, and factions fighting to define what the future should become.

This is a game about reading the world carefully. Who do you trust? What do you risk? When do you fight, flee, negotiate, lie, help, abandon, or stay silent?

Create your character

Choose your attributes and skills, then build your character around weapons, magic, stealth, persuasion, survival, investigation or direct combat. Your stats affect skill checks, dialogue options, quest solutions and how you survive hostile encounters.

Explore a fractured province

Travel through five unique cities and many other locations, including roads, villages, forests, plains, ports, ruins and strange places touched by forces beyond ordinary life.

Ravenglaire contains numerous symbolic visual maps where movement, enemies, danger, loot and nearby threats can be seen before you act. The world is not only described in text: you must also read the space around you, judge risk, and decide when to move forward.

Fight, cast, hide or flee

Combat is turn-based and driven by action points, weapons, spells, potions and target choices. A bow, a blade, a spell, a hidden position or a desperate escape can all change the outcome of a fight.

Enemies include beasts, thieves, soldiers, faction agents and things that should not exist.

Make choices in a land under pressure

Ravenglaire is shaped by hunger, war, political control, religious pressure and old magic. Some people need help. Some want power. Some will use you. Some will remember what you did.

Your decisions can affect quests, factions, rewards, alliances, access to future options and major endings.
