About This Game

Fifteen two, fifteen four. The board is out, the pegs are set, and somebody is about to lose by two holes.

Crown Cribbage is the classic card game kept the way it deserves: a calm, handsome table, a genuinely shuffled deck, and opponents who win by playing well, never by peeking. Whether you learned cribbage from a grandparent or you're the one teaching it now, this table has a chair for you.

The table, done properly

  • Two-hand, three-hand cutthroat, and four-hand partnership cribbage

  • House rules that match your house: play to 121 or 61, series play across a best-of match, his heels on or off, and the winner-deals rematch rule online

  • Count your own hand if that's how you play, and with muggins on, whatever you miss is your opponent's to claim

  • Careless opponents, optionally: an AI that sometimes miscounts its pegging, catch it by challenging the board, just like at a real table

  • An undo for honest misclicks, and a play log that remembers every fifteen, pair and run of the night

Opponents who play fair

Four skill levels, from an easy-going beginner to an expert who counts everything. The AI never sees your cards and the deck is genuinely random, both are enforced by automated tests, not by promises. When you lose, you were outplayed or outdrawn, and you'll know which.

Company, whenever you want it

  • Play online: invite a friend to a private table, talk with table chat and quick phrases, offer a rematch without leaving your seats

  • Spectating: tables can welcome watchers, with every seated player's consent

  • The Clubhouse: a social room where you can see who's about, who's looking for a game, whose match is worth watching and challenge somebody to a table

  • Pass-and-play on one screen, with a proper privacy fence between hands

  • Separate local profiles, so everyone in the house keeps their own record

A puzzle with your morning coffee

  • The Daily Discard: one dealt hand a day, the same for everyone. Choose your toss, see how it scores, keep your streak, share your result

  • The Discard Lab: every way to play six cards, ranked — see exactly what your favorite toss gives up, as dealer and as pone

Learn it, or teach it

A fifteen-step How to Play walks the whole game. The deal, discard, pegging, & the show. An optional coach whispers advice during real games until you don't want it anymore.

Make it yours

  • A dozen card decks, including illustrated heirloom courts, or build your own in the card editor

  • Seven cribbage boards, from classic walnut to bright maple

  • Peg sets including a color-blind-safe palette, and an original soundtrack for the room

Easy on the eyes, easy on the hands

Made to be readable and unhurried: adjustable interface, card and text sizes, four-color suits, high-contrast and two-lane board options, animation speeds from relaxed to instant, and full mouse, keyboard and controller support. No timers unless you ask for one. Nothing rushes you.

And for the collectors

52 Steam achievements, leaderboards, lifetime statistics with charts, and cloud saves that follow you between machines.

Pull up a chair. Fifteen two, fifteen four... and a pair for six.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some assets in Crown Cribbage were made with the help of generative AI tools:

- in-game music was generated with AI music tools
- capsule/key art
- marketing copy drafts
- assistance with programming

One point of emphasis:
The computer opponents in this game are not generative AI. They are hand-written heuristics, a fixed set of rules for discarding and pegging, tuned by
difficulty.

They see only what you see. They do not look at your hand, and nothing about them is generated while you play.

No AI content of any kind is created during a match.
