Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The best combos are the ones we didn't think of. We want to see the decks you build, the traps you set, and how other players get past them. Early Access lets that exchange shape new cards and defenses as Fathom Reach grows.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're planning for roughly six to twelve months in Early Access. That range is an estimate: player feedback and the scope of the changes we choose to make may affect it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more cards and base defenses. We also plan to tune how the game plays and how you grow stronger. Player feedback will help us choose what to add.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Solo card combat, deckbuilding, and progression are playable now, with 220 cards across four factions. Open Descent, Daily Signal, and Endless Descent offer offline dives; Endless Descent adds the choice to bank your haul or push deeper after a Pressure-Heart. You can also build a base and raid other players. Player raids and defense reports need an internet connection.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price modestly for the full release. That release would be included for Early Access owners at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Tell us about the combo that carried a run, the trap that caught you, or the choice that felt wrong. Steam Discussions is our main place for feedback and bug reports. We plan to share progress there and use player feedback alongside raid and defense data to choose what to work on next.”

About This Game

CHAIN THE PERFECT DIVE

Fathom Reach is a single-player roguelike deckbuilder under a ruined ocean. Read enemy intents and choose your targets. Chain cards into explosive combos. Turn Armor into a crushing strike, fill a chamber with drones, or let corrosion finish the job.

KNOW WHEN TO SURFACE

Your hull carries every hit into the next fight. In Endless Descent, each breached Pressure-Heart offers a choice: bank your haul or descend into tougher chambers for richer loot. How much can you risk bringing home? Solo dives also include Open Descent and the shared Daily Signal. All three play offline.

BUILD A DECK THAT BREAKS THE RULES

Bring your loot home to craft and upgrade a deck from 220 cards across four factions. Build around heavy Armor, marked targets, corrosion, or drone swarms. Fit a dive module and discover a new way to make your favorite cards work together.

BUILD THE BASE YOU'D HATE TO RAID

Give other divers a challenge of your own. Place gun-coral and traps, then choose the Pressure-Heart at your base's core. Publish your defenses and they fight while you're away. Read the defense reports, refine your layout, and take your deck into other players' bases. These asynchronous player raids need the internet.
