Coming Soon To Early Access

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The best raids are the ones we didn't think of. We want to see the decks you build, the traps you set, and how other players get past them. Early Access lets that exchange shape new cards and defenses as Fathom Reach grows.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're planning for roughly six to twelve months in Early Access. That range is an estimate: player feedback and the scope of the changes we choose to make may affect it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the choices on both sides of a raid: more cards to build around and more defenses to outwit. We also plan to refine balance and progression as new strategies emerge. Player feedback will help decide which additions earn a place in the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The raid, deckbuilding, and base defense loop is playable now, with 220 cards across four factions. Raid other players' bases, upgrade your deck, and publish defenses that fight while you're away. For offline solo play, dive into generated enemy bases in Open Descent, Daily Signal, or Endless Descent. Player raids, ranked play, and defense reports use an internet connection.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price modestly for the full release. That release would be included for Early Access owners at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Tell us about the combo that carried a run, the trap that caught you, or the choice that felt wrong. Steam Discussions is our main place for feedback and bug reports. We plan to share progress there and use player feedback alongside raid and defense data to choose what to work on next.”

About This Game

Raid the dungeon they built

In Fathom Reach, you take a deck of cards into other players' underwater bases. Fight chamber by chamber and read each defender's next move before you play. Chain your cards well, and a room full of guns never gets to fire. Your hull carries its damage into the next fight. Break the Pressure-Heart, the base's core, before your hull gives out.

Bring home a better deck

Loot from a raid pays for your next bad idea. Build and upgrade your deck from 220 cards across four factions. Swarm the field with drones, or let corrosion eat through defenses. Fit a dive module to change the rules for one run.

Build a base you'd hate to raid

Remember the trap that nearly sank you? Build one for your visitors. Place gun-coral and traps, then choose the Pressure-Heart they'll have to break. Publish your base and let it fight while you're away. Read the defense reports and see how your visitors fared.

Want to dive solo? Play offline against generated enemy bases in Open Descent. Take on the shared Daily Signal or push deeper in Endless Descent. Player raids and ranked play need an internet connection.
