What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is entering Early Access to improve with real player feedback.

Early Access will help test gameplay mechanics, refine the overall experience, and better understand which ideas and features players enjoy most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for the game to remain in Early Access for about a year or two.

However, the exact timing may shift. This will depend on how development progresses, what players say, and how big the game is by the time version 1.0 is released. Our goal is to exit Early Access only when the game feels stable, well-polished, and complete enough to be ready for a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, the goal is to build on what is available in Early Access and make the game feel bigger, deeper, and more complete.

This may include new levels, more monsters, improved gameplay mechanics, more opportunities for co-op play, better pacing, balance changes, and further technical polish.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players can currently explore 5 available levels, either alone or with friends. They can interact with items, help teammates, use voice chat, avoid dangerous creatures, and progress through the gameplay content currently included in the build. The game already includes co-op mode and the core features described in the “About This Game” section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price for Early Access right now is based on how much stuff is in the game and what stage it's at. But the finished game will come with more content, extra features, and lots of improvements, so it'll cost more when it's fully out.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be extremely important to us during Early Access while we're working on the game.

We'll be constantly collecting and carefully studying everything you tell us: your feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and general discussions. Based on these opinions, we'll be able to make changes to the game: improving mechanics, balance, pacing, level design, co-op functionality, fixing technical issues, and much more.”

About This Game

Simulacre — a cooperative horror game for 1-4 players about strange places, dangerous creatures, and distrust within the team. You do not know where you are or whether anything around you is real, but to escape you will need to explore levels, stay together, and not trust every familiar voice.

  • Explore different levels
Each level has its own conditions, threats, and way to move forward.

  • Survive together
Play alone or with friends, find the items you need, help your teammates, and do not leave the team behind.

  • Beware of mimics
Some creatures can imitate players voices, lure you away, and make you doubt your friends.

  • Speak carefully
Voice chat helps you stay together, but in dangerous places any sound can give you away.
