Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to release the full game within 12 months. That may stretch if the community asks for bigger features worth adding.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Co-op multiplayer and official mod support through the Steam Workshop, both planned during Early Access. Co-op will be its own mode, since the story is made for one player. On top of that, the most requested community features, plus polish and optimization.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable from start to finish: the main story, unlimited free play afterward, your father's project car, a 4x4 you can buy and upgrade, the other vehicles, all the jobs, moonshine, police and street racing. Single player for now. Expect the odd bug; I'll fix any you report as fast as I can.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to raise the price after Early Access.”

About This Game

Red Life is the ultimate vodka-fueled, car building, racing, survival game! It’s the late 1980s in a remote village in Soviet Georgia, where your mother sends you to take care of the family’s old house. You discover your father’s project car in the garage with enough parts scattered around to get it running, but you have to take care of yourself by managing hunger, thirst, stress, and more.

Once you have a working car, you should drive around and familiarise yourself with the village and its people. Some will guide you toward jobs that make you money, while others give important details like where to get aftermarket car parts. But make sure to stay on their good side: if you refused to give a ride to a babushka last week, she might snitch on your moonshine brewery business.

After thinking you've done it all, you spot a 4x4 for sale. With a low range gearbox, a central differential lock, and insane versatility, you might just fall in love with it more.

Core Gameplay Features

  • Personal cars that are customizable for looks and performance

  • Various other vehicles, including a tractor, truck, minivan, and V8 racer, that you can all drive

  • Many methods of making money, such as farm jobs, firewood delivery, scrap metal collection, and selling moonshine

  • Different places to get vodka, food, fuel, car parts, and all the other necessities

  • Street racing with a prize for finishing first

  • Dialogue system with NPC characters who give out tasks and rewards

  • Militsiya (police) that patrols the village and detects illegal activity

  • A large explorable map with distinct areas
