Why Early Access?

“My Stylish Life has grown into a world filled with fashion, shopping, relationships, activities, and stories, and Early Access feels like the right next step in its development in order to really grow it into a fun and fashionable experience for everyone to play!
Early Access gives players the opportunity to begin their Stylish Life while allowing me to learn from how people actually play the game. Player feedback will be especially valuable as I continue refining things like progression, balancing, fashion and customization, relationships, activities, and the overall experience in the game.

My goal is to use Early Access to polish and expand upon the foundation already in place while staying connected with the community and learning what players enjoy most about playing My Stylish Life.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I’m currently shooting for around another 1-2 years approximately for Early Access. However, this is really an estimate for myself as a solo developer, and may change as development progresses, and the game evolves! Rather than committing to a specific date early on, I want to give the game the time it needs while mainly using the feedback and development process as the guide for myself.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, I plan to continue building the world and systems that are already available in My Stylish Life. This may include continuing and expanding the story, adding more characters/romanceables, adding much more fashion and customization, developing progression further, and introducing additional activities and content through the whole world!

In addition to this, I do also plan to continue refining existing features based on player feedback; such as quality-of-life improvements, and overall experience. At the end of the day my goal is to offer a larger and more polished version of the fashion game experience!

Development plans may definitely evolve throughout Early Access as I learn from you guys as players and continue developing the game.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of My Stylish Life is a playable fashion and life-sim experience with the core game loop and a variety of content already available.
Players can create and customize their character, dress up their character, run their own boutique and style customers, shop for clothing and build their wardrobe, customize their apartment and phone, explore different locations, participate in fashion contests and other activities, build friendships and relationships with characters, experience the currently available story content, and take part in seasonal content and side activities!

The Early Access version also includes progression through the boutique, character conversations and messaging, collectibles and rewards, and hundreds of fashion pieces that can be mixed and matched to create different styles.
While the game is playable and its core systems are in place, it is still in active development. Players may encounter bugs, balancing issues, unfinished polish, or areas that will continue to be refined and expanded throughout Early Access!

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I do currently plan to gradually increase the price of My Stylish Life as the game grows throughout Early Access and receives additional content and features. The price may also increase when the game eventually leaves Early Access. Any pricing changes will be communicated with the community in advance.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is really important for myself as the developer and also for My Stylish Life. I plan on staying connected through having a designated Discord server to discuss and also use the Steam discussions, use my social media for development updates, and make sure to listen to feedback about gameplay, progression, fashion and customization, characters, QOL, bugs (definitely these), and the overall experience. I definitely want it to be something that the community feels as if they are being heard!
I also plan to continue sharing development progress as I have been doing, and giving players the opportunity to share their thoughts, favorite styles, characters, activities, and experience, and also some community-based activities like fashion contests, for example. Feedback will most definitely help me identify areas that could be improved or refined.

My Stylish Life has always been a project I care deeply about, and I'm excited to finally have players living their own Stylish Lives and sharing their experiences with me as the game continues to grow.
