What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Static Line already has a complete core expedition, but there is still room to expand its variety, replayability, and overall refinement.

Early Access allows the next stage of development to be shaped by how players actually experience the game. Feedback on combat balance, progression, routes, encounters, enemies, and usability will help identify which areas need improvement and which parts of the game should be expanded first.

Development toward the full release will continue through regular updates, with progress and major changes shared through the Steam community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Static Line is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months.

This timeframe may change depending on development progress and player feedback. The priority is to ensure that each major update is stable and meaningful rather than rushing toward a fixed release date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is planned to include a complete core expedition, with a beginning, progression, and ending.

Development toward the full version will focus on expanding the breadth and replayability of that experience rather than adding a missing second half. This may include new battlefields and routes, enemies and bosses, events and narrative encounters, equipment and progression options, and additional campaign outcomes.

The full version is also planned to include further balancing, quality-of-life improvements, presentation upgrades, and refinements based on player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains a fully playable core expedition, from the first sortie through to an ending.

It includes direct control of the VF-01 Vessel, customizable weapon loadouts, task force assembly, battlefield objectives, boss encounters, branching routes, events and strange signals between battles, and progression through the avionics tech tree. Different routes and equipment choices allow for varied approaches across multiple expeditions.

As an Early Access release, the game is still being actively refined. Balance, content variety, user interface, performance, visual presentation, and overall polish will continue to improve, and some systems or assets may change during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is priced lower during Early Access. We plan to raise the price when we transition to full release, reflecting the additional content and features added over time. Players who support the game early will get the best value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively gather feedback through Steam Community discussions, update logs, and player behavior.

Player input on difficulty, balance, and encounter design will directly influence development priorities.

We plan to share regular development updates to keep the community involved throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

PILOT THE VESSEL

Take direct control of the VF-01 Vessel, an airborne combat frame built for speed, precision, and overwhelming firepower.

Boost, climb, dive, and turn through combat zones. Aim independently from your movement, strike with twin arm-mounted weapons, and launch missile salvos without giving up control of the sky.

FILL THE SKY WITH FIRE

Aerion machines converge in force.

Intercept incoming missiles, lock multiple targets, and answer with full salvos as allied and enemy units collide across the screen. Break through swarms in battles filled with speed, fire, and cascading destruction.

FACE COLOSSAL AERION

Challenge enormous machine bosses built around spectacle, pressure, and decisive destruction.

Survive screen-filling attacks, find your opening, and drive the Vessel through escalating encounters until the impossible machine comes crashing down.

BUILD YOUR VESSEL. ASSEMBLE YOUR FORCE.

Between sorties, change weapons, shape your allied unit deck, unlock avionics, and prepare the next configuration at the supply depot.

Build around interception, sustained fire, concentrated strikes, or the support units you want beside you. Then launch again with a setup that fights differently from the last.

FOLLOW THE SIGNAL

Choose the next Contact along a branching Line, enter unexpected event nodes, and return to the console between battles.

Some signals offer guidance. Some interfere. Some seem to remember decisions that should have been forgotten.

Follow them deeper.
