Suffer not the witch, the heretic, or the demon to live. Cleanse the world of evil. Clock out by five, because dinner is at six and you know the imp bile does not wash out if you leave it overnight. 

Command your monastery as a true Inquisitor. Deploy a sizable toolkit of administrative and diagnostic methods to determine exactly what you're dealing with — a cursed saint at the end of their rope, a mischievous demon wearing the face of a common villager, empty coffers or something that defies classification entirely. The Inquisitor's manual covers most cases. Most. 

Five distinct supernatural threats stand between you and order, alongside an ever-shifting pool of lesser horrors. Each demands its own approach: the right ritual, the right instrument, or simply the right amount of conviction and fire. Getting it wrong is also an option. The monastery has seen worse and you are quite sure the cute cook almost certainly IS a witch. Let your paranoia fly! 

Experiment freely with a deep alchemy system. Uncover dozens of recipes, bless brews to mend your allies, or corrupt them into something considerably less holy. Feeling bold? Throw everything into the pot and see what happens. The Inquisition did not survive this long by being timid. 

Manage your monks, each filling a role in this fragile structure of sacred bureaucracy. Restore the library and gather the forbidden knowledge, corruption is not known to hold onto the holy parchment. Repair the monastery and expand your archives because the knowledge and the stone walls will certainly keep whatever moves in the wilderness out. And occasionally, you will have to step beyond those walls yourself — into the dark, where the herbs are. And so is everything else. 

Your decisions will shape the fate of the monastery. Salvation, or complete annihilation.

• Nobody Expects the Inquisition - take control of the Inquisitor, from his first steps to his greatest triumphs, use the varied mechanics to surprise your vic…those who have been accused.  

• Stave off the Darkness - the servants of the Serpent will try your will - protect the innocent by stamping out the spawn of the darkness forever. From Imps to Demons and other horrors of all kinds that have preyed upon the people from the times immemorial. 

• I am the LAW - use your sinuous tongue to eke out the truth so that you may rest and watch the light settle on the grateful people of faith. Use your ever-expanding knowledge (and the library) to shield the world of men from the horrors of Beyond. 

• Stretching the Truth - use your tools from the Interrogation dungeon and its instruments, through the prayers and holy symbols to get to the bottom of who hides a monster, secret or just an honest and beating heart inside. Use the varied inquisitorial equipment to spot the symptoms and proclivities of your prisoners. None shall escape as you mix righteous anger into concoctions of unimaginable potency. 

• The Inquisition Is NO Joke - one cannot defend the Light and all under it without cracking a few… humorous lines. It makes it easier to reveal the guilty as they often join with the sinful suggestions and cannot help but reveal themselves. 

• Team-is-a-Building - ensure that the old and crusty monastery is renewed by thе presence and reaches the apex of its existence under the wise stewardship. Also, clean up the racks, stalls, the stocks and maintain cleanliness, some prisoners are averse to mess. If thine hands tire, offload the work on other inquisitorial brothers who will happily take up the mantle.
