“Mithril & Mud is a content-rich incremental/idle game with deep interlocking systems. Early Access lets me gather player feedback on pacing, balance, and progression — things that are nearly impossible to tune in isolation. Input directly shapes the game. Balancing and End Game aspects are top priority. ”

“We plan to significantly expand the endgame experience beyond Depth 20. Currently, post-victory play relies on numerical scaling, and we want to change that by introducing new rooms, mechanics, and meaningful content that unlock at deeper depths. We plan to rework the challenge system with engaging modifiers and unique rewards, add new prestige and ascension perks to deepen the meta-progression loop, and expand mythic upgrade paths so veteran players have fresh goals to pursue rather than simply pushing numbers higher.

We plan to make key moments in the game feel more impactful. This includes an interactive victory event at Depth 20 that gives players a memorable, playable experience rather than just a summary screen. We also plan to introduce new boss encounters and story-driven events at milestone depths, as well as expand the existing troll and Lithodore encounters with new mechanics as players push deeper.

We plan to use Early Access feedback to guide a thorough economy and balance pass, including shadowsteel tuning, quest reward scaling, and endgame cost curves. Quality-of-life improvements and additional automation options will be shaped directly by what the community asks for. We also plan to upgrade the visual presentation of the central mine area, add additional music and sound design, continue refining localization across all 10 supported languages, and explore bringing the game to the Steam Deck.”
